Supplies
1. rectangle wood block
2. sand paper
3. small nails
4. hammer
5. yarn
6. scissors
7. drill
8. gray paint
9. flower
1. Drill a hole in the top of the block a couple inches deep and sand it. Paint the entire block your wedding color. We went with gray.
2. After it's dried, sand the block to give it more of a distressed look. Sand more or less depending on what type of look you're going for. Hammer the small nails in the wood block in the shape of a word or design. I chose to write Love and a heart. Be as creative as you want.
3. Cut a long piece of yarn and tie a knot around a nail. Weave it around each nail until you spell out the word or create a shape. Tie a knot at the end again to keep it in place.
4. Place a flower in the top of the hole A special thanks to Julie Harmsen Photography for creating this wonderful wedding do-it-yourself project.
