Do It Yourself, or DIY, wedding projects allow you to create your own personalized favors and touches that can be applied in any way you can imagine on your special day, for a shower, a party or whenever. All you need are some basic items and a little creativity.

You can either use your imagination and draw a sketch by hand for an original design, print off a picture from your computer or simply pick one out of a book or magazine to incorporate your wedding theme. Transparent Paper Plain Paper X-acto Knife & Pen or Pencil
1. Using a pen and a plain sheet of paper, we sketched some lovebirds sitting together on a tree branch.
2. Once you have your design ready, lay a sheet of sturdy transparent paper onto your design and tape if necessary to secure the pieces in place.
3. Now its time to cut out your stencil. Using an X-acto knife and a good hard backing (such as a wood panel), carefully cut directly along the stencil line. Take your time on this part.
