Bring a few friends and family along as you visit different local bakeries. Keep in mind that it's nice to offer a variety of flavors and sizes to your guests. Look for bakeries who may offer homemade specialties or individual pies. If you are a great baker or know a few, you could even enlist family or friends to bake their favorite pies.
1. Step Two - Make Labels Label cards are necessary to distinguish between the different flavors of pie. This small details is a great way to get creative and personalize your dessert table. You could use the same type and style of your escort cards or menu to create a cohesive feel throughout your entire event. A Savvy Event enlisted Print Your Party to design custom tags and signs and we printed them out themselves to save on costs.
If you have friends or family members help out with the pie table, we are sure they would love it if you wrote their name on the pie label. Aunt Jenny's Apple Pie would bring out a huge smile and show gratitude.
Step Three - Design Your Table Decorative Pie Stands are perfect for creating different levels and areas of interest. you could also get creative and use boxes or suitcases or even a vintage pie safe to display your dessert. Feel free to add any other decor items to your table. Think flowers, pictures or even some custom signs. You can also never go wrong with a great linen!
Step Four - Involve Your Guests A fun way to involve guests is to have them vote for their favorite pie. Print Your Party designed these way cute cards for guests to write their favorite pie on and comments they had about the pie. A fun activity for guests to get involved in the wedding.
Step Five - Have a Milk Station What's a pie without a fresh glass of cold milk and a scoop of ice cream? You can purchase swing top bottles and print out milk labels for that extra special touch. Place in large bowls with ice for guests to enjoy a refreshing glass of milk with their pie. Be sure to have ice cream on hand for guests that prefer their pie a la mode. You can use dry ice to keep it cold. Quick Tip: If you use dry ice to keep the ice cream cold be sure to have it in a steel container or metal bowl. Dry ice is known to crack plastic.
