RiRi’s Cobalt Blue Bridesmaid Dress Is Goals for the Girls
We were just talking about Rihanna like 5 minutes ago, weren’t we? On the subject of fanny packs, and how she wears the s*** out of the trend. Well, she’s back on a radar again, for flawless fashion reasons. The “Lemon” singer showed up to her bestie’s wedding in Barbados this weekend looking absolutely stunning. And her dress was the best part of it all. No one’s 100p sure who the designer of it is, as of yet, but it’s quite possible it’s an OG design from @alexiscampbell246 (at least that’s what we think / she was @@@ on the 👗 tag). From what we can guess from all the stalking we’ve done on the ‘walkingintoforever’ hashtag, it looks like the maids ALL wore a cobalt blue silk fit and flare gown, floor-length, with flutter sleeves (always a love of mine), a plunging neck, and bow detailing across their decolletage.
Gorgeous dress on our girl, and realllll pretty on the rest of the squad, too! Probably because cobalt blue is 🔥 on just about everyone. Seriously, every article of cobalt blue wear I own is my favorite. I can’t stay away from it 💙. And for bridesmaids, guess what? The super fun and furiously-bold palette can be worn pretty much season after season - in cool and warm months. Love the sound of that. So much so that for a minute, we actually forgot about how much we love basic bridal parties and the color pink. Hmmmm.
Check it out from Sonita Alexander's wedding - just in case you still weren't convinced of cobalt's cool
And more 🙌🙌🙌 on the cobalt situation
Apparently cobalt is a color that symbolizes loyalty and strength. Pretty appropriate for bridesmaids, right? Ri knows a thing or two about loyalty, loyalty, loyalty, too…
The touch of blue shade is literally flattering on every skin tone, so you can be sure your girls will appreciate your decision to go blue. Looking good even when they’re not the bride… LBH, this is what they came for.
And #somethingblue doesn’t always have to start with you. Letting your ladies take a turn with a time-honored bridal tradition might just be the magic they need to become the next one married. Well, maybe not Rihanna, allegedly she wanted nothing to do with that bouquet toss.
Also, it doesn’t scream “I’m a bridesmaid,” either. It’s much more cool-girl
