How to Get Lea Michele’s Reception Dress Look
Over the last week, we’ve gotten bits and pieces of Lea Michele and Zandy Reich’s Napa nuptials, and everything that’s been revealed (exclusively by People, duh) makes it seem like a wedding we sorelyyyyy missed. So many classic details, so much foodie fodder, and of course, ALL the magical fashion moments - including the bride’s double dose of Monique Lhuillier love.
We probably should have done something earlier in the week on her ☝️Luna Gown from the designer’s Spring 2019 Collection, but to be honest, we were even more excited by her reception, dance-ready dress. As reported in People, the dress was another ML creation, but it was a Fall 2019 RTR dress that Lea’s designer friend custom-made for her in bridal white. If only we all had these atelier acquaintances, gahhhh. Wishful thinking!
There really hasn’t been a single Insta footprint on this festive reception frock, but a couple of Lea fan feeds picked it up, just waiting for the Glee girl to post something herself! (and @ktmerry, keep any/all pics of the special day coming - because we loveeee you)
The dress was literally everything we could have ever imagined for the new Mrs. Reich to rock at her party, and goals for ALL of the future brides who want to wear something sexy and sassy for their own fetes. Like we mentioned before, and from what Lea told People, she loved this look from Monique’s ready-to-wear range, and since everything in black can always be done in white - to completely change its attitude, that’s what the ladies decided to do together.
Though it’s no longer available on Moda Operandi (the global destination that scoops up all straight-off-the-runway objects of couture affection), here are the notes on the number:
“Monique Lhuillier's lace long sleeve dress is designed with an illusion V-neckline finished with scalloped Chantilly lace trim. Tailored to a knee-length, its fitted body is detailed with ruched details along the front.”
Leave it to Lea to know just how epic it’d look in an aisle aesthetic. In any case, the lace, sleeves, and hemline of Lea’s daring dress have us obsessed, so we wanted to share some similar (and inspired) looks in case you wanted to copy it for your own I Dos.
