Mark your calendars, brides (and all of your besties, too), because the seventh annual National Bridal Summer Event is only one week away. And if you haven’t said ‘YES’ to your dream dress yet, it’s the perfect time to do it — 1) to help keep your cloud 9 engagement feels in high gear and 2) to keep your budget sitting pretty as you segue into the rest of your planning journey.
And, actually, we’re told that a lot of the participating salons and boutiques end up extending sales past that 7/23 date, too… But you definitely don’t want to miss out, so plan on getting in within those eight days

The National Bridal Summer Event happens every year on the third Saturday in July (the 16th, if you were wondering), and similarly to Black Friday or Small Business Saturday, it’s like the Super Bowl of bridal retail. Everyone in this aisle-style industry looks forward to it and psyches up to make dreams come true for brides all across the country+. This time around, nearly 500 independent, locally-owned bridal retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada will participate in this event meant to offer brides, bridesmaids, and wedding guests an unprecedented opportunity for substantial savings.

It’s true, being 2+ years into this global pandemic has made shopping from home the categorical norm. BUT, there is still something unequivocally special about being able to shop for the best dress you’ll ever wear in an environment where you can touch and feel the gowns, try them on, get feedback from your favorite people in the world, and feel an overwhelming flood of support and hype from the store owners and stylists who are in your corner, rooting for you, and making sure you feel absolutely incredible from start to finish.

1) You can often take your gown home that day! So you won’t have to suffer through any separation anxiety from the dress you’ve become obsessed with.
2) You can score a plethora of unbelievable prices and promotions from a variety of bridal gown designers. That’s right — so many bridal movers, shakers, and fashion makers are a part of this grand scale savings celebration. You just have to check with your nearby bridal salons to see who’s participating this year.
3) You can even enter into a sweepstakes that coincides with the duration of the event. There are tons of takeaways for the first, second, third, fourth, even fifth-prize spots (monetary + goods/services) — and you don’t have to purchase anything to be eligible.

But total head-to-train (you know, because it’s a dress…) support
Along with the special prices and promotions on designers from Casablanca, Enzoani, and Justin Alexander to Lotus Threads and Mon Cheri, brides can visit NBSE’s website to read up on dress advice, learn about the boutiques BRINGING it in the wedding space month after month, and download a coupon good for $25 off wedding gown cleaning and preservation. A dream dress + expert content + some protection for the dress, post-nuptials. All of it works for us 👍.
