While the pandemic certainly has left chaos in its wake, it has given the wedding industry a chance to rebuild and rethink what a wedding looks like for our generation. We can keep the traditions that still resonate with us and ditch the ones that don't. Micro-weddings saw a big surge because of COVID, but we don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. This inspiration at The Hotel June is the perfect interpretation of the new normal. It shows a couple who has already signed the papers but has yet to truly celebrate with their loved ones. It's less formal than a church service or a ballroom wedding, but no less extravagant. From the custom place settings to the gourmet cotton candy stand, one thing is for sure, this wedding was a good time!

Cluster Events Planning & Design created this wedding inspiration shoot to show couples how awesome a micro-wedding can really be. Pigsty designed gorgeous floral arrangements that were strategically placed throughout the venue to keep everything cohesive. These festive photos by Jenny Smith & Co. will make you wish you were on this invite list, and Foolishly Rushing In was there to catch all the fun on video. Inspired by the idea of easing back into gatherings, we collaborated with some of our favorite vendors to bring you this “podish” style shoot celebrating those who maybe already tied the knot and are looking for ways to finally throw the party! This is a look into the future–an inspiration guide to hosting a creatively distanced event. It’s a reminder that, even if plans change, the end game stays the same. This Is What Weddings Look Like Now

We immediately knew our backdrop for this shoot had to be the brand new, Studio Collective designed, Hotel June. This boutique hotel lent itself perfectly to the “new normal” we were trying to create by using cream loungers from Provenance Rentals to provide intimate pod seating for guests while staying distant. We found an adorable settee in the hotel that became the backdrop for our ceremony. Adorned by pink pampas, moody greenery, and ruffled garden roses creating a lush setting expertly curated by our gushingly creative florist, Hope Sword of Pigsty. The ceremony was envisioned as an opportune moment for the couple, who had previously exchanged their vows, to invite guests to share their love and appreciation for the couple.

Our bride wore 'Lenny', a lacey, two-piece dress from En Blanc, complimented with hair and make-up by Meg O' Hare Beauty. Our groom complimented our bride with a rose suit from The Black Tux. All accessories were from Show Me Your Mumu. Following the ceremony, our couple headed inside to enjoy an intimate dinner. Building upon Hotel June’s layers of colors and textures using lucite and ceramic place settings from Casa De Perrin, handmade, wood place cards by Paper Plum indicated where guests should sit in this colorfully intimate setting. Of course what wedding would be complete without a little custom-colored sugar from Sweet Tooth Cotton Candy? After dinner and a quick change into En Blanc’s Lea + Erin and crystal-encrusted headband from Show Me Your Mumu, our couple headed outside to the pool deck to enjoy color-coordinated, hand-crafted cocktails. As the night wore on Hotel June’s Chef, Angie Lee, provided a wildly creative, little snack.
