This next couple traveled all the way from freezing Minnesota to say “I do” under the warm Arizona sun! The setting for their sun-kissed nuptials took place in the most unexpected venue, the backyard of an Airbnb which featured an outdoor pond, waterfalls and picturesque landscaping. How amazing is that?!
You won’t believe how beautiful it all turned out in shades of red and blush. From the sparkly bridesmaid dresses to the elegant sweetheart table for two, it just keeps getting better from here. See more highlights below, and check out the entire day in the full gallery from Betsy & John Photography.
From the bride: We wanted our wedding to be romantic, fun and intimate. Capturing so many weddings as a wedding photographer, I sensed I had some insight to make my own wedding come alive the way I had envisioned it. Sparkles is my middle name.. well not literally but these bridesmaid dresses from Lulu's were like love at first sight. From all the weddings I had shot, I had never quite seen a dress like this one! I loved the pop of maroon and the glitter-like shine. To tie in that kind of dress in with my flirty “princess-like gown”, our florist, Alexis Grace Florals did an outstanding job with pops of maroon and blush pinks in our bouquets, on our ceremony arbor, on the gold lanterns, and much more.
Venturing to the warm sun-kissed state of Arizona for our wedding was like a dream. We escaped the freezing Minnesota temperatures of negative twenty to enjoy eighty degrees and sunshine in Paradise Valley. We chose to share our intimate ceremony with the company of God and forty of our closest family and friends in the backyard of a gorgeous Airbnb. Not only was it at the bottom of Camelback Mountain but the yard was maintained with palm trees, flowers, citrus trees, cactus, mini waterfalls, and beautiful stone paths (including the one I got to walk down the aisle on).
Having been a bride I can even more confidently assure every couple that you're wedding photos and video will always be cherished, kept and continue to retell how admirable that day was when you committed your lives together. When we got our wedding photos back we were absolutely captivated by what Betsy & John developed. We quickly fell in love with every photo, especially the ones they caught of us at Papago Park before the sun dipped below the horizon. It is so fun reliving the moments like confetti falling when we shared our first kiss and sparks flying as we did our big send off.
