From Paige and Blake Photography:This styled shoot was a project of mine this summer. I love the soft hues and the delicate details. My model became a co-collaborator, going shopping with me and even creating the beautiful naked cake. The horses featured are rescued and rehabilitated animals. They were gentle and absolutely beautiful.

Not only is lavender beautiful, but it's an herb that can is used for it's scent, flavor and medicinal qualities. So whip up a pitcher of this fabulous beverage, then sit back and sip your refreshment while you peruse the posts!
Lavender Lemonade Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
5 cups water, divided
1 tablespoon dried lavender or 2 - 3 tablespoons fresh lavender
1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice Directions:
In a saucepan, combine sugar and 2 1/2 cups water. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Add lavender, cover and remove from heat; let stand at least 20 minutes or up to several hours. Strain and discard lavender. Pour lavender syrup into a pitcher. Add lemon juice and remaining 2 1/2 cups water. Stir to combine. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh lavender flowers.
