This private estate with a pond and a barn is the perfect backdrop for a true Michigan autumn wedding. Using the seasonal colors as a template and incorporating multiple metallic shades, Red Heels Events created the perfect design for a rustic fall wedding.
Wanting to incorporate fall touches without focusing solely on pumpkins, leaves and apples, they used touches of wheat and bittersweet. To bring in additional light to the dark barn, a wheel was hung from an old wooden pulley from the ceiling and strung with lights. All incredibly great ideas for your up and coming fall wedding. From Red Heels Events:The covered bridge made the perfect intimate site for a ceremony. To dress up the barn wood we added satin drapes in a champagne tone, tied back with orange roses and red berries. Harvest benches flanked both sides of the aisle and were decorated with wheat and flower filled vases. Although we added many man-made decorations, nothing is more beautiful than the fall color on the trees in the background.
Many DIY items were added from the signage above the dessert table and on the drink station to the glass plates, which were painted gold. All of the food was handmade, including the miniature pumpkin and apple pies, the caramel corn and the caramel apples, giving a taste of fall in many different ways. One of our favorite elements of this rustic fall inspirational shoot is the birch tree escort card station. Definitely doable — and later you could use it to hang photos. Such a great keepsake!
The rustic elements — such as the whiskey barrels, birch trees, old crates and tools — mixed well with the elegant table settings of copper chargers, gold and cut glass plates and silver flatware.
