Alexa and David are a very close-knit couple from US with a true passion for traveling around Europe. During a beautiful holiday in Iceland, David planned a surprise to propose Alexa atop a gorgeous black volcanic rock cliff. Thanks one of her best friend's help, Sheres, he proposed while at the Snaefellsnes National Park with a unique rose gold ring by Heidi Gibson Designs, an Octagon beauty with a peach sapphire center and extra vintage details!

Elopement Inspiration

For their elopement on Lake Como, Alexa contacted me in December because she had seen one of my elopements on a wedding blog and would have the same style and atmosphere: romantic and stylish with a warm and familiar atmosphere for her guests.

We decided together that Relais Villa Vittoria Lake Como, with its stunning lake view and its ceiling jasmine gazebo, would be the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony. For Alexa and David to spend some days together with their closest friends was the main focus, so we managed the lodge for all the guests in the Relais Villas.

A a pink and white palette chosen to match the engagement ring accents and the pink underskirt of Alexa’s wedding dress. I designed for her the styling project and a custom stationery suite together with my brilliant friend Efmero Lab, underlining the fil rouge with the roses that are the main accent of the flower design Scent of Orchid created for Alexa and David.

The Day Of

It was a romantic day told through the lens of gorgeous Maria by Duet Friday. The day started by a fun getting ready time in bride’s room with her best friends: a flute of champagne, laughs and the pampers by talented MUAH Lucia by Arte in Luce.

After the most intimate ceremony celebrated by one of their closest friends in front of the shining beauty of Lake Como, Alexa and David toasted with their guests before going for an unforgettable boat ride on the Lake and a stunning photo shoot in the fairy Villa del Balbianello which is one of the most famous villas in the world.

On their return, they had an exclusive dinner in Relais Villa Vittoria, under the lake side pergola before cutting the pretty and delicious wedding cake that Chiara by Qualcosa di Dolce prepared for them. A little lovely touch? The small boxes we designed for their guests filled by the typical Italian wedding favor - the sugared almonds - that we decorated for them with a custom silk ribbon and a rose sealing wax.
