Due to its positive impact on Mother Nature, sustainability has earned itself a granola connotation, but this wedding proves that you don't have to be into boho to be sustainable. This team beautifully executed this elegant inspiration shoot that rivals some of the most extravagant Tuscan weddings we've ever seen (and we've seen a lot!) and managed to keep it environmentally friendly by utilizing in-season florals and upcycled treasures. The key to keeping found elements upscale is a cohesive color palette, and this team nailed it! Soft mint blends beautifully with an eclectic assortment of pewter findings and "iced mango", which has to be our new favorite color name!
Laura Dova Weddings designed this outstanding inspiration shoot and curated a set of vendors that all shared the same passion for creating sustainable and fashion-forward weddings. 2 Become 1 was there to film every minute as it unfolded. Lilla Florals created the gorgeous florals that you'll see throughout and Kir & Ira Photography kept the color palette in mind with each and every one of these beautiful photos. The gardens at Borgo San Felice set the perfect stage for this wedding inspiration and limited the amount of floral arrangements needed to create a romantic atmosphere. Located in the heart of Tuscany’s rolling hills and bucolic countryside, Borgo San Felice served as the perfect backdrop for this heart-warming autumnal destination wedding inspiration shoot. The concept keywords were minimalistic, unpaired, upcycling, and brought to light a dreamy and organic feel for a naturally perfect and spontaneous result. The idea came when after almost eight years of planning a wide spectrum of destination weddings in Switzerland and in the Mediterranean basin, Laura Dova Weddings felt it was the right time to unite a dream team of Tuscan wedding experts and create a unique styled shoot in the land of authenticity.
Minimalistic, unpaired, upcycling, and organic-the choice of these very powerful keywords gave a very intimate, warm, and autumnal feel to all the vendors involved. Every decision made was based on these simple yet straightforward words and the result was the perfect imperfection only upcycling and unpaired objects can bring to an already mesmerizing décor. The final yet utterly sophisticated key element, the Jolie Bridal wedding dress worn by the bride was a perfect combination of simplicity and elegance and completed the whole concept of this destination styled wedding shoot.
We used a typical autumnal color palette made of Tuscan greens, wood, peach caramel, iced mango, and shades of whites, whilst greenery such as Olive, Wild Clematis, Eucalyptus, Oak, in addition to wild-collected greens and flowers, English scented garden Roses, and a mix of other seasonal florals gave a very warm and rustic feel that emphasized the beauty of every corner of the Borgo we were shooting at.
Formerly a Mandap that beautifully served a destination Indian wedding in central Italy, the ethereal wooden ceremony frame was upcycled into a white-colored structure, embraced by mixed Tuscan greens, and became a perfect frame to the spouses and the jaw-dropping iconic Tuscan backdrop. Carefully sourced from local street markets, antique stores, or simply abandoned, the sofas and unique decor objects were then laboriously restored or repaired and brought to a second life. The deliberately unpaired setting was a key decision for an elegant and wabi-sabi finish. The minimalistic stationery was crafted with recycled and coarse paper for a rustic touch. Under the Borgo’s vine arbor took place the cocktail hour, served from a “Cinquino”, an upcycled iconic Fiat Cinquecento, followed by a reception created with a mix and match of wooden chairs, wild-collected greens in vases, and pewter objects.
