Pretty Purple Farm Wedding
This bride and groom couldn't be any more in love and it's completely obvious throughout their gorgeous wedding day. Purple and white created a crisp and beautiful color palette throughout the day tying everything together.
Some of the quotes from this pretty purple farm wedding melted our hearts, they're so touching and meaningful, so we heavily encourage you to read as you scroll, we promise it's worth it! More prettiness awaits in the full gallery, photographed by Laura Lee Photography.
The Perfect Kind Of Wedding Morning
Rodale Institute in Kutztown, PA was such a stunning place for Raquel and Daniel's celebration! It's actually a working experimental farm. So while the girls were having a dance party during prep, the guys were playing with baby goats and having a ping pong tournament. I don’t know about you, but that it my kind of wedding morning! As Raquel slipped into her wedding dress, all eyes were filled with tears. The dress was perfect! Twirling with tulle, it was a stunning Allure Bridal gown, complete with a pretty beaded belt.
Do A First Look With Your Father
After her mother, Nina, and Maid of Honor, Corrine, helped her with the finishing touches of her wedding ensemble, it was time for her first look with her father. I LOVE these moments so much, and this one was so special. Daddy’s only little girl. They twirled and hugged and shed a few tears and Raquel happily helped him with his boutonniere.
Apple Orchard First Look
Daniel then approached his bride for their first look in the apple orchard. Raquel stood patiently, awaiting her soon-to-be husband. As she turned and they locked eyes, Daniel's awe was apparent at his loss for words. “Why aren’t you saying anything?” she asked. “I’m just looking at you, soaking it all in.”
"Never stop looking at her that way"
In Raquel’s dad’s blessing/speech, he told Daniel to never stop looking at her the way he does. Such great advice! This beautiful couple's wedding was peppered with sweet moments like this, and when it was time for the ceremony in the gardens, the tears came once more. They exchanged personal handwritten vows from their vow books and ended the ceremony with a champagne toast. All the guests threw flower petals as they walked through hand-in-hand, showering them in love and well wishes. This sweet outdoor ceremony was followed by a reception held in a barn, adorned with luminous twinkle lights.
Day Of Coordinators Can Save The Day
I wish we had hired a day of coordinator. Our venue was DIY to the max.
We had to set up everything ourselves. Because of rain the day before we
could not set up anything outside for our ceremony or cocktail hour, it
all had to be done the morning of by my mom and family. In retrospect
it would have been nice to have professional help for the set up as well
as someone to to move the day along, a task that fell to our DJ (who
did a great job!).
See their day play out in the video below, filmed by Rob McConahy Videography.
