THE INSPO
We had so much fun putting this styled shoot together! Planned by Swoon Events and House Of Tytan, and captured beautifully by Burghouse Photography, we opted for an edgy, editorial vibe, mixing traditional and modern elements. Fashion and art were at the forefront of our inspiration, so we focused on the contrast between dark and light, as well as silhouettes and texture.
Birds are such beautiful creatures and were the perfect inspiration to play with different textures and shapes. Eggs, nests, feathers, and wings can be seen subtly throughout the entire shoot in every aspect from clothing and accessories to tabletop and dessert. We used rich, jewel tones of emerald, purple and red, accented against softer shades of white and grey. We opted for a low table that fused traditional and modern elements together. The florals by Fete Flowers were kept organic to add movement to the table.
THE FASHION
We included multiple fashion-forward Bride & Groom looks from different designers. The first gown by Steven Lejambe is a show-stopping tulle masterpiece with the most gorgeous delicate lace top! Our Groom looked dapper in a plaid tuxedo with custom bow-tie by House of Tytan.
Our second look was based around the Peacock, with the Groom’s outfit using subdued peacock colors, and a bowtie that mimicked peacock feathers. The Bride’s Narces dress incorporated peacock feathers while giving off an elegant, glamorous bridal look.
We just love the third gown by WONA Concept with those giant sleeves! The perfect fashionable bridal gown, accessorized with an emerald green headband to pick up on the Groom’s suave emerald green suit.
We shot against both dark and light walls to show contrast and further emulate our theme of light and dark. We really wanted each Bride & Groom look to be interesting, unique and tie together the silhouettes and texture we were after for our entire shoot concept.
