The 3 Key Pieces To A Successful Wedding Design
If you're in the middle of planning a wedding, you know that social media can be a gift and a curse when it comes to finding inspiration. If you can dream it, you can find it out there. And once you find exactly what you're looking for, it's hard not to fall in love...with EVERYTHING! When it comes time to finally sit down with your wedding planner, you may see that all of these gorgeous little photos look great on their own, but bring them all together, and (Eww!) they clash big time! No worries, Meredith Corning of Meredith Corning PR created the perfect formula to ensure that your wedding is as cohesive as those lovely photos you've been obsessing over for months.
This elegant shoot, designed by Kaitie Gill Weddings, is the perfect example of how to create a beautifully cohesive design. To get the look just right, they partnered with Kylie Farmer Photography, a skilled wedding photographer that also shares the same overall aesthetic. Together, they found Legacy Acres, a grand estate venue with a gorgeous sprawling lawn that was just perfect for their vision! They also teamed up with Patrick Hawkins to capture video footage of the shoot, making sure that their style would be compatible with the photos. Magnolia Belle Floral created all of these beautiful floral arrangements that took the already good bones of the property and made them come to life. Keep reading to hear more from Meredith Corning about why this shoot was so successful and how you can apply the same considerations to your own wedding. 1. Consider your surroundings when choosing design details.
The romantic color palette and floral menagerie in this opulent inspiration photoshoot will have you dreaming of long walks with your beloved at sunset on stately grounds. Luxurious overlaying textiles of lace fabrics from the gowns to the linens coupled with varying environments create a kaleidoscope of visual delights. Cuisine aficionados will certainly appreciate the dual main course dinner mixed with desserts and dusk-inspired liquid refreshments. The mossy green velvet sofa perched in a wildly untamed meadow at Legacy Acres captured the overall vibe of this project.
2. Choose a photographer that can effectively capture your vision.
"The theme of this styled shoot was elegance meets garden party. The inspiration came during a time when I was watching Bridgerton on Netflix and loved the scenes where the characters are strolling through the lawn and gardens. With the amazing lawn that encircles the venue, I knew that Legacy Acres would be the perfect location for what I had in mind. The pops of color found throughout the floral arrangements and the groom's suit were the perfect touch to an already happy and joyous color palette. Add in the green couch and the golden setting sun, and we had the most amazing outcome,” said Kylie Farmer with Kylie Farmer Photography.
3. choose three words to describe your design and stick to those words when making decisions.
This laid-back essence of grandeur is reflected in the fashion choices. Our models are a real couple and you can feel the comfort they have with one another in this photography series. The bride made a wardrobe change from an ivory lace wedding gown into a fun, sparkly, champagne-colored frock. The groom’s custom suit is both debonair and relaxed, which perfectly accents the style of this project. The dainty chocolate and pecan mini pies and chocolate petit fours by Blue Cake Company are reminiscent of tea party details that add some sweetness and charm to the overall aesthetic. “We served a gourmet meal for our couple in this gorgeous styled shoot. The two main dishes displayed are Caribbean citrus chicken with mango salsa atop rice pilaf and a side of green bean Provencal and a pan-seared filet with wild mushroom ragout and broccolini,” explained Leah Seale with Vibrant Occasions Catering.
