While a lot of couples lean toward a light and airy feel for their wedding, this couple knew that they wanted to go a different direction. They always envisioned a deep, moody ambiance for their wedding day, and as luck would have it, the clouds rolled in and gave the sky that perfect shade of gray. They kept the decor dark as well, opting for floral arrangements that consisted of deep greens that matched the bridesmaids' dark green dresses. The groom and his men wore classic black tuxes while the bride shined bright in a beautiful white tulle ballgown with a lace bodice.  

Weddings By Karie helped this couple bring their vision to life and found the perfect venue! Pratt Place Inn & Barn is a beautiful space with an all-wood interior that added that rustic touch that the couple was looking for. We love how Rose Of Sharon Floral Design Studio used mostly greenery in these floral arrangements and still managed to keep them so voluminous! ALL-NATURAL MOOD LIGHTING

Even though Tylor and Meagan originally met in high school, they never even spoke to one another prior to a mutual friend introducing them as adults on an outing one evening. They hit it off and soon began planning their fairytale wedding. Their wedding day was crisp and cloudy, which paired well with their moody-style photography by L A Y E R S. Meagan wanted mostly greenery and she adores the white florals that her florist, Rose Of Sharon Floral Design Studio, paired with the sea of foliage throughout. Add some candlelight and voila, a romantic barn wedding at Pratt Place Inn & Barn ensued. Tylor and Meagn’s style is tasteful and traditional as reflected in all their design choices.

A DREAM COME TRUE

“Our wedding day was truly a fairytale. Althea Wiles with Rose Of Sharon Floral Design Studio did such an amazing job of making that dream come true. We were surrounded by all of our best friends and loved ones. The day before our wedding, it was sunny and 70 degrees outside. On the day of our wedding, it was 32 degrees and raining. However, the weather set the mood and I wouldn’t change it for anything,” says Meagan.

RUSTIC MEETS CLASSIC ELEGANCE

Keeping true to traditional attire, Tylor wore a sleek black tux from Men's Wearhouse and Meagan wore a princess-style gown by Hayley Paige featuring a signature tiered skirt, long lace sleeves, and sweetheart neckline. The couple was able to pull off the wedding of their dreams and Meagan has some advice for other couples planning their own perfect day, “Make a list of things that you value most for your day. For example, I knew I wanted amazing pictures and amazing flowers. I made sure that our budget allowed us to have money for those two areas before anything else,” says Meagan. A rustic setting sprinkled with sparkly delights proved to be a winning combination for the overall look and feel of this charming affair. By prioritizing their wants and sticking to a classic aesthetic, this couple was able to plan a truly elegant barn wedding.
