From the wedding dress to the beautiful outdoor scenery and the over the top table decor with a gorgeous hanging installation this styled shoot is overflowing with inspiration.

AGS Photo Art and Pocketful of Plans were inspired by De Tierra’s beautiful mix of intimate desert hacienda and lush sprawling vineyards. This shoot felt like a destination wedding despite the fact international destination weddings have not been possible in 2020. The look was inspired by the massive agave plants, the mix of textures, and the natural bright pinks and oranges of cactus flowers found throughout the venue. Given the venue’s diverse setting we wanted to include a mix of feminine aspects with masculine textures for a really elevated luxury boho-styled wedding that could be captured by both film and digital as well as a short film by Hugo Films.

When the model couple shared that they had to postpone their own Mexican destination wedding due to COVID, the inspiration came pouring in. We wanted to be able to give this couple an experience that could lift their postponed wedding spirits. The bride was glammed up by  Kelly Jo Makeup And Hair in a soft ballet-inspired bun for a soft but sultry look. The bride chose to change her dress from ceremony to reception, wearing gorgeous gowns from Epiphany Bridal Boutique that featured cascading embroidered feathers--perfect for the romantic luxury boho bridal style. We love the idea of wearing multiple dresses to make the day that much more special and unique to the couple.

While many weddings take place at this venue, the spots that we used for the different scenes had never been used before. The ceremony took place with the beautiful Hacienda as the background giving a unique architectural backdrop to the very free-formed nontraditional boho ceremony statement piece assembled by Seascape Flowers.

Pour Girl Bartending and Heart Paper Soul worked together to create an inspiring cocktail and dinner menu that was inspired by the Mexican destination of the Yucatan Peninsula. The leather cocktail menu was hung on the grand palm trees of the property and adorned with tropical florals to mix the masculine and feminine elements for a real statement.  Heart Paper Soul also created a dinner menu with gold and leather touches and leather place cards to tie in the different scenes.

The intimate dinner set was inspired by the elevated micro wedding experiences that have arisen from the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the towering Wisteria arches on the property that lay between the Hacienda house and the Wine and Olive groves of the property, we wanted to create a show-stopping dining experience.  The Copper Rose Collection strung their woven mismatched chandeliers from the arches and Pocketful of Plans sourced special touches from  BBJ Linens,  Chic Event Rentals, and lush florals accented with Himalayan salt votive candles to emit a romantic pink and orange glow to the dinner area. The goal was to create something that felt opulent but intimate and inviting.

For desserts,  Blue Aces Bake Shoppe wanted to create a lush dessert grazing table filled to the brim with mini cupcakes, tarts, french macarons and more, imagining that if guests were gathering late and celebrating the evening away, they could pop over to grab a decadent sweet.

We were all thrilled with how this inspired shoot came together--especially our bride and groom.
