Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are both must-see glacier-fed lakes in Banff National Park. Amazingly, Caitlin and PJ had intimate ceremonies at both picturesque lakes. They wanted to keep part of their destination elopement to themselves and share the experience with their family as well. Thus, the two ceremonies.
To begin, they had an intimate ceremony with their loved ones in front of the stunning Lake Louise. After their family ceremony, just the two of them shared their vows on the shores of Moraine Lake. After their moment in front of the vivid turquoise waters, they headed to a break in the forest and privately had their first dance while The Lumineers played softly. Film and Forest Photography captured their intimate Banff elopement at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. You can view all the photos in the full gallery.
PJ and Caitlin started their elopement day getting ready at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The Fairmont is located right on the shores of Lake Louise, making it the perfect basecamp for Banff destination wedding.
The national park is public land so you can easily hold a small leave no trace ceremony nearby without having to rent out an outdoor space from the hotel itself.
Caitlin's hair and makeup is done by Something Borrowed Beauty. This beauty squad did a fabulous job of creating a polished bridal look that went perfectly with the bride's long sleeve Hailey Paige wedding dress.
The bride and groom had an intimate wedding ceremony at Lake Louise with their family. Although Lake Louise can seem busy for a private wedding ceremony at first glance, you can quickly find some space away from the crowds. You'll also need an experienced Banff wedding photographer like Film and Forest Photography to find the perfect spot.
For their Lake Louise wedding ceremony decorations, Carissa of Wild Magnolia Floral created two stunning floral arrangements for the wedding ceremony. You can see them above. The Pampas grass and garden rose arrangements seamlessly blended with Caitlin's wedding bouquet.
After their Lake Louise elopement ceremony, the bride and groom headed to Moraine Lake, where they shared their vows on the shore privately. After celebrating with champagne, they headed to a beautiful spot and took photos in front of Lake Moraine's intensely colored blue and green waters.
Hidden away from view, Caitlin and PJ had their first dance to The Lumineers as a newly married couple. A magical wedding moment planned by Film and Forest Photography. It is one of their favorite ways to end a Moraine Lake elopement. We could not agree more.
