How to Have A Bohemian Ranch Style Wedding

Rustic wedding portrait of a happy couple on a farm

Looking for a unique venue idea for your big day? How about getting married at a private ranch like this! Ivory & Evergreen envisioned this shoot with a homestead aesthetic in mind and gathered a team of vendors to pull off one stylish day with bohemian flair, western vibes, and neutral tones.

The bride looked like a bohemian queen in a modern Theia Couture gown with a lace top from Sarah Seven, while the groom rocked a non-traditional plaid suit from Bonobos. The dried wedding bouquet is a thing of beauty with pampas grass and king proteas, and no ranch wedding would be complete without a friendly neighhhborhood horse dropping in for a few photos. It’s romantic, casual, and totally perfect for the modern yet traditional bride, so keep scrolling for more and giddy on up to the full gallery for a closer look at all the photos from Marcella Laine.

Happily Ever Homestead

From Ivory & Evergreen: Something about a beautiful private ranch in Woodinville, exotic dried flowers, fall colors, and a couple that just can’t stop smiling from ear to ear brings nothing but joy. The vision for this shoot was an intimate gathering at a homestead but wanted to incorporate Bohemian, Western vibes for the modern, yet traditional bride. While working at The Dress Theory, I noticed there was an abundance of brides with these themes in their mind; western, boho, lace, and simple. With rustic hues and neutral tones throughout the florals by @petalsbypiper, the suit by @bonobos, and the most perfect cake by @siftandgather, the warmth and comfort between these two were beautifully captured by @marcellalaine.

styling the day

The invitation suite by @mintedweddings set the tone for a rustic wedding, keeping things simple, elegant, and clean. And while a rustic wedding is meant to be simple, sometimes it can become too minimal, but with added details such as the macramé by Bennet Co., there was no chance of that happening on this amazing ranch in Woodinville. To complement the western vibe, Bennet Co. brought a macramé throw that brought warmth and comfort to our bride, a macramé feather that displayed their wedding rings, beautiful earrings for the bride, and tassels for our little thank you gifts at each table setting.

intimate ranch wedding

To fully embrace the venue at a private ranch in Woodinville, we strolled around the farmstead petting, feeding, and playing with the horses. Once it was time for our couple to sit down and cheers to a lifetime together, our tables were set, champagne was poured, and the cake was served. The farm tables from @seattlefarmtables were the perfect addition to this ranch-style shoot and were perfect for displaying the amazing centerpiece by @petalsbypiper. Without all of these vendors involved, this vision would have just been a silly thought passing through my head; but that’s when the magic happens. For those brides who want an intimate wedding on a ranch, it is possible and it is beautiful. So, cheers to you and happily, ever homestead!
