Fall Fantasy Wedding at Hamilton Farm Golf Club: A Budget Bride!

Bride and Groom walk holding hands on wedding day

After basically being ditched by their friends on a trip to Las Vegas, Mark and Kristen's friendship turned into a romance that didn't stay in Vegas. They soon became engaged and started planning a wedding that no one would forget. Set on the beautifully rolling hills of Hamilton Farm Golf Club during a spectacular fall evening set aglow by candles and sparklers, you will think you have fallen into a fairytale.
Designed by Lollipops & Lemondrops and captured by Ellie Photography this fall fantasy wedding is a must see! Keep reading to hear a little more about how they saved a little extra and as always there is plenty more to see in the full gallery here.

From the Bride:I really lucked out having an amazing photographer in Ellie of Ellie Photography. She had a ton of cool ideas in mind when it came to pictures. In retrospect I realize how lucky I was that she came with ideas and was extremely creative, since I didn't put enough thought into photos beforehand. Pictures really are one of the only things you have left from your wedding day, so I realize now that if I didn't have Ellie coming with creative ways to pose, that my photos could have definitely come out bland and unexciting.

There were certain aspects of my wedding that looked extremely unique and custom thanks to Melissa, but she also knew how to get a great deal! I would say that there is always a way to have a wedding that looks exactly the way you want it without spending as much money to do so. For example, Melissa from Lollipops & Lemondrops knew that I wasn't as concerned with flowers at my wedding, but obviously also knew that they were necessary. She found a wonderful small florist who picks the flowers from her farm and was a fraction of the cost from some of the other florists she's worked with who were closer to NYC.

Melissa also thought to do 3 different alternating arrangements on the tables:1. A candelabra with flowers dripping down 2. A lantern with flowers and candles  3. Candles at different heights with flower petals

The second and third centerpiece cost much less than the first, so we were able to save while making the centerpieces look even more unique and custom!

Everybody loves a sparkler exit, but generally it signals the end of the party. Mark and Kristen's wedding ceremony, which was scheduled right as the sun was setting, used their sparklers as a grand entrance from their ceremony into their gorgeous candle lite reception. What a fun way to pump up your guests for a great night of celebration!

Melissa of Lollipops & Lemondrops also used Etsy a lot for calligraphy, custom hand painted menus, and chalkboards that were placed throughout the space. I think that this was definitely cheaper than going to a brick and mortar store in my area. One example that comes to mind is our hand painted menus that were on each place setting. Melissa hired a wonderful artist off of Etsy to hand paint our menu for us. Melissa had the artist paint one and then printed the others herself. This was a great way for us to have something extremely custom while staying within a budget since Melissa was able to print them herself! Etsy was honestly amazing, and I recommend that all brides start there for some great ways to customize their special day without breaking the bank!
