The two-part design created by this incredible team begins with a sleek navy invitation suite with marbled details. The venue, Devils River, a historic whiskey distillery in downtown San Antonio, boats Italian marble tables and accents so this team wanted to carry that throughout the design.

The Ceremony

Elegant wedding venue setup with a grand chandelier and decor

The ceremony space, graced by the original chandeliers and hardwood floors was set with an open heart floral design to create a beautiful frame around our couple. Eden's Echo used soft white roses, delphinium, snapdragons woven together with Italian ruscus, the florals made a statement, but let the couple shine.

Elegant bride embracing her groom on their wedding day

Our bride's attire for the ceremony and reception was custom made by A Cherie Couture -a slim, A-Line gown with a flowing cape. The gown was subtly sparkly and perfectly balanced by her hair's soft Hollywood waves. Keziah Bevans, our beauty artist created a timeless look reminiscent of a 1940’s Italian star.

The Groom

Our groom, the classic Italian gentleman, wore a slim-fitting black tuxedo and bow tie. The look worked perfectly with both the formal part of the day and was playful and oh so cool to hop on the Vespa with his bride later!

The Tablescape

Our table was set for an intimate party as this season many couples are continuing to downsize their guest list.

Scarlet Rose Events designed an inviting tablescape with florals framing the table and leaving enough space for guests to talk freely, while still making quite a statement. Navy menu’s were set with Luxe Event Decor's minimalist flatware to draw guests' eyes down to the marble tables and then up to the views around the distillery.

The Cake

Three-tiered wedding cake with flowers and bottles

Moving into the reception the couple chose to have a simple semi-naked cake graced with orchids and mini whiskey bottles as a nod to the venue. My Asukar is known for her stunning cakes that even when minimal create an impact.

The Toast

To toast, a whiskey tower took the place of a traditional champagne tower. This was a fun twist on a common wedding sight and paid homage to the historic distillery and whiskey being known as the “Gentlemen’s” drink.

For their getaway, SA Sidecars  whisked the couple away on an aqua Vespa with sidecar! The bride had changed to a cocktail satin dress and swept her hair up into a simple updo. With her shorter cocktail dress, her classy navy Ted Baker heels were visible too!
