Today is going to be full of beauty here on Wedding Chicks, as we feature three incredible shoots from the October Erich McVey workshop. All held at the utterly breathtaking Brasada Ranch in Bend, Oregon. We cannot begin to to tell you how amazing our experience was.
It is so hard to put into words just how gorgeous, thoughtful, and empowering this workshop was for all of the photographer attendees as well as all the vendors who contributed to the four day event. If you know Erich and his adorable wife, Amy, you know that they are sweet, funny, creative, talented, humble, and above all else, collaborative. To say the least we love them! Erich's workshop was such a perfect reflection of him, his artwork and attitude, with a talented group of creatives putting together the styled shoots and industry insiders speaking during the classroom gatherings. It was a four days of beauty and inspiration that we wish we could relive over and over. Lucky for us – and you all! – we can look at Erich’s photos from the workshop and soak in all of the loveliness again and again. You can see the full gallery of all the prettiness by clicking here.
To start things off, we’re sharing Erich’s photos from the incredible welcome dinner that greeted us all on the first day of the workshop. Styled by Ginny Au, with florals by Holly Carlisle of Rosegolden Flowers and the most beautiful menus and place cards by Abany Bauer of Brown Linen Design, the dinner set the perfect tone of organic beauty that was a constant theme throughout our stay at the workshop venue, Brasada Ranch. Hold on to your seats – it’s a whole bunch of pretty coming your way. Stay tuned for more of the workshop feature, all happening today.
From Ginny AuWhen designing the welcome dinner tables, we wanted to use all natural foliage from Brasada. Holly foraged from the shrubs and juniper trees collecting branches in hues of sage, blues and soft grays. We placed gold and brass vintage candle holders within the twigs and trickled juniper berries throughout. This was complimented with Abany's organic calligraphy place cards and menus on simple hand made Italian paper.
There is so much more to see from the Erich McVey Workshop. Stay tuned!
