Our next bride's mother always threw her the best DIY birthday parties. When this beautiful bride said yes to Romaric's proposal, she knew DIY projects would be a large part of her special day. And they certainly were, using the roaring 20s as their inspiration.
As you will soon see, this North Carolina wedding is overflowing with a black, white and gold color scheme, vintage decorations and of course a ton of  DIY elements. Even Charity's wedding dress was custom made with the help of one of her bridesmaids! There are so many amazing details from this DIY dapper Deco wedding that you definitely don't want to miss! From the Bride:With fall weddings being so popular (we attended 3 this year!) we knew we wanted something with a strong voice. We wanted our guests to have the ultimate date night, have a chance to get dressed up, let loose, and party.

Romaric and I love the spirit of the 1920s and thought it would be fun to throw a speakeasy themed wedding; a little vintage, a little glam, a lot of fun. Everyone pitched in. My grandmother made the table runners, my mom made the centerpieces (every paper flower was hand dyed and folded), and one of my bridesmaids helped me make my dress! We were thrilled with how everything turned out and so thankful to our guests who came in costume to help set the mood!

The Stockroom at 230 was the perfect setting for this dapper Deco event with its industrial atmosphere that referenced the good old days when it was all about glitz, glam and modernity. Twinkle lights and paper lanterns along with gold and white paper pom-poms and a draped fabric backdrop set the stage for Charity and Romaric to tie the knot in style.

After Charity and Romaric said "I do" the ceremony space at The Stockroom at 230 was transformed into a chic dining room and dance floor for the reception. Centerpieces of vintage books, an assortment of candles and cigar boxes filled with gorgeous paper flowers sat on top of the black and white table runners created by Charity's grandmother. Each table was numbered by a custom label attached to a wine bottle. Pretty! Don't you think?

Every paper flower was hand dyed and folded by Charity's mom. She also incorporated maps, pages from both English and French books and sheet music. We love how the subtle patterns of the different papers makes each flower look so unique!

There really isn't anything I would've done differently. There was a huge bluegrass festival downtown on the day of my wedding that made driving/parking/photos a little difficult but even with the festival I don't regret our choice of date or the beautiful weather we had!

Read on to see how much this DIY dapper Deco wedding cost and details about their DIY decorations. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

Our total cost came out to ~$22,000. This was mostly due to the fact that we had a plated meal and delicious french wine/champagne (the groom insisted :) ). Without the extra food costs this wedding could've been done for much less. Here is the breakdown of the DIY elements:
Dress: $900 materials from Mood
15 Table Runners: $55 for material & $15 for tassles
15 Cigar Boxes: $30
Paper Flowers: maybe $5-$7 per box for supplies, so about $105 total Flower Chandelier: no more than $5 total Book, Music & Map Flowers: nothing (note the book page flowers were both English and French to include Romaric and his family)
Wreathes on the Stockroom and Mahler doors: book and music paper flowers about $5 each Jars: collected and cleaned for free Pre-filled Votives Spray Painted Gold: 5 boxes @ $5/box All other candles bought at 40% off with coupons
