So many brides have dreamed of a luxury, European destination wedding their entire lives, and just when they were prepared to board a plane and say 'I do' on the steps of a French Chateau with their nearest and dearest, Covid-19 turned their dreams upside down. Traveling outside of the country and having their guests along for an event as momentous as a wedding day is almost impossible for the pandemic-era bride.

As we saw our brides canceling, postponing, and completely reimagining their wedding days through this painful process, we dreamed of a way to bring their fairytale wedding dreams to fruition while taking into account the considerations that this unprecedented time requires. That was the goal and inspiration behind this luxury micro-wedding shoot; a European-Inspired Destination Wedding right here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States.

EUROPEAN INSPIRED VENUE

There are few venues in the country that offer the appeal found here at Lakewold Gardens. This 10-acre non-profit estate garden is like a little slice of heavenly France juxtaposed right in the middle of the beautifully evergreen Pacific Northwest. The Wagner House boasts European-inspired architecture and design elements throughout the interior and exterior of the home and is surrounded by intentionally designed, incredibly alluring gardens. From the wisteria-covered pergola that stretches the length of the house to the secret library courtyard, Lakewold Gardens is a hidden gem in the state of Washington and a breath of fresh European-inspired air!

Chloe Nicole Weddings & Events and Brick + Willow designed this micro-wedding inspiration to highlight the European-inspired elements of this venue. The lush, dramatic floral installation on the French doors beautifully highlights the beauty of and history of this home, while creating a perfect backdrop for the ceremony.

The wisteria-covered pergola at the rear of the home made the most romantic environment for an intimate reception gathering. The natural beauty of wisteria growing delicately overhead and the old world charm of the weathered brick and winsome concrete carvings married beautifully with the romantic and delicate softness of a full tablescape, complete with luxury rentals from CORT Party Rental.

Beautifully soft and romantic place cards and menus by the ever-talented Krisanna Elizabeth adorned with delicate blooms paired seamlessly with a classic, textured place setting. A marbled, two-tier wedding cake by Whisked Cakes tied together the natural blush tones of the venue with an elegant botanical accent that perfectly embodies the overall mood of this garden venue.

The bride's sweeping Anne Barge gown from Nyanza Bridal featured floral appliqué detail and the soft, romantic touch of a swooping sheer shawl for added texture and movement. Her natural, elegant hair and make up style, courtesy of Beauty By Pearl, were both romantic and timeless. Her stunning Valerie Madison Jewelry halo pearl engagement ring embodies vintage-inspired elegance.
