Since Salvation Mountain has so many vibrant and rich colors, it only makes sense that this would be an eclectic, modern styled shoot! The gold, pinks and white color scheme popped perfectly off the background of the mountain and gave it a fun yet flirty feel.
Salvation Mountain acts like a bright beaming light in the middle of the scorching desert heat. Get ready to feel bright and happy when you gather some colorful desert wedding ideas from the full gallery here, photographed by Katie McGihon, with event design by First Comes Love.
I've always seen the breathtaking pictures of the Mountain posted by visitors alike and knew it was a destination I had to check off my bucket list. So who better to see it with than a few of my closest vendor friends to create a bunch of prettiness for a Bright Desert Elopement Shoot?! You can't help but feel the power of the mountain and all its glory- thanks to Leonard Knight's insane vision to create this peaceful work of art, now busy tourist attraction.
The cake was an element on its own level, Over The Rainbow Desserts truly mastered the hippy and soulful vibe of Salvation Mountain. They were also able to bring in elements such as the gold sparkle from the brides crop top to add more of a personal touch. And that custom skull cake topper...to die for!
I also have an intense love for all bridal and wedding attire that is out of the ordinary- so I knew I couldn't have just a classic white wedding dress either. Thankfully, the Badgley Mischka beaded crop top and full length blush tulle skirt from Bliss Tulle worked into my vision perfectly!! Who wouldn't want to just run away with your hunny and elope at such a place?? We are all still daydreaming about this shoot in this stunning location and hope you will too!
