Under a beautiful oak tree at sunset, Doren and Peter were joined in marriage surrounded by those they love most. Their soft color palette of barely there blush, creams, and touches of gold served as the perfect compliment to the gorgeous Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills, California.
The entire wedding, from start to finish, was elegant, romantic, oh-so beautiful, and best of all, filled with the most touching, personal moments. Photographed ever so beautifully by Diana Lupu. Always so interesting and helpful.
From the Bride:In the beginning of my wedding plans, I knew that I always wanted a fall wedding, I just thought it was the perfect weather especially in Sacramento. Although I knew exactly what type of flower I wanted in my bouquet, because of the season, peonies were not available so I had to use garden roses instead. From personal experience, always check the seasonal flowers that are available to use.
I love doing traditional things, and so I kept the first look very traditional. The 1st look was walking down the aisle, he did not know anything other then what my shoes looked like. I must say, doing that really put a time crunch on the rest of the photos we had to squeeze in. Although I honestly would not have changed a thing, it's just always good to have a timeline and a great photographer to organize everything so you don't miss any shots. Regardless of the flowers and the time crunch in order to get all the shots, it didn't matter to me anymore. That day flew by so fast, I really wish I could go back in time and do it all over again exactly the way it was.
My starting budget was about 25k, we did surpass that once the planning began. I didn't realized how many little things we were going to need to add to budget. I'd say 40% of it was the venue, 30% photography & video, 10% dress/shoes/hair/make-up, 10% details (including furniture rentals), 5% flowers ( my amazing aunt was able to fly in from GA and put all my arrangements and everything floral related together free of charge, so I was able to splurge of the higher end of flowers) and, 5% music. With that being said I do not remember what our exact total was.
