Classic Chapel Wedding With A Living Floral Wall
After spending years apart, these two best friends turned into more than friends and finally tied the knot in this adorable chapel wedding! Believe it or not, this entire wedding (ceremony and all) took place at one location, which made for a super laid-back day where the couple and their guests could really relax and enjoy. It's rare to find a venue that has it all, like this one, especially if you've always dreamed of a chapel wedding. If you can't find a one-stop shop, look for neighboring venues, like a hotel with a ballroom next to your church, or a restaurant next to a park or the beach if an outdoor ceremony is more your speed.

A LOCATION THAT HAS IT ALL
Jessica and Jacob dreamed up their start to forever at Hawthorne House in Kansas City after deciding a priority throughout wedding planning was to provide a flawless guest experience. They wanted a venue that could host their vision of a chapel ceremony and a reception both onsite, alleviating any driving between events, and enhanced their guest experience by hosting an outdoor cocktail hour on the estate's lawn!
WHAT THEY WORE
Kati with Katie Swegel Makeup beautified Jessica with a natural and romantic look accentuating the already stunning bride. She wore a peekaboo lace ballgown from The Gown Gallery but changed at the reception into a sleek satin piece to shimmy the night away. Their "something blue" was brought into play in a fun and unique way–bridesmaid dresses! These elegant dusty blue gowns were the perfect pop of color on their August wedding day. Jacob chose a timeless and sleek black look but stood out against his groomsmen by choosing neckties for them and a bowtie for himself.
#RECEPTIONGOALS
Their green and white wedding vision was brought to life by Wild Hill Flowers & Events, equipped with a romantic monogrammed aisle runner and a jaw-dropping floral display. Green and white may be a commonly used color scheme in the wedding world, but Jessica and Jacob's vision took the standard style to a new level with multi-tiered floral centerpieces and a real floral photo backdrop.
There is no better way to ensure a jam-packed dance floor than to snag one of the most well-known wedding bands in the area and Lost Wax did not disappoint! The dance floor was surrounded by a garden of pedestal floral arrangements and a fun photo booth backdrop with their new last name in neon lights!
TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL
Jessica and Jacob had to overcome great distance to keep their love alive. Jessica attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS while Jacob attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Starting as best friends, their friendship grew to love and their love overcame the many miles they put on their cars always keeping their relationship a priority. A truly stunning wedding day for a truly stunning couple both inside and out. Congratulations for getting #HitchedAtHawthorne, Jessica and Jacob.
