We wanted to recreate the feeling of a southwest, desert inspired locale. Featured in our tablescape you'll find the use of cacti and gem stones along with poppies, ranunculus and quicksand roses.
Our goal was to create a centerpiece that felt desert-like but also lush and colorful. The cake features flowers (made entirely of sugar) that mimic the ones in our centerpiece, along with geometric patterns created using a braided fondant technique. To create our wall installation we used rugs made of sea grass.
Even the wedding cake ties beautifully with this desert inspired theme. Look closely and you can see that the cake also has an ornate dream catcher design on it. Amazing!! Cake design by Jonathan Caleb Cake. See more of the cake in the full gallery here.
