Blush and White Rustic Farm Wedding
Escaping the concert jungle of Washington DC, John and Brittany opted for a beautiful wedding out in the country at the picturesque Wyndridge Farm in Pennsylvania. With an outdoor ceremony and a giant indoor barn reception, their day featured rustic decor, fresh florals, and a simple color palette of blush and white.

A gorgeous hideaway for intimate weddings
From Mason Photography: Being primarily in DC but traveling often, Wyndridge Farm is always one of those venues that feels like home. Every wedding there is magical and it's a wonderful break from the concrete jungle that is Washington DC. They have their own brewery which serves incredible food and beverages and it's a gorgeous hideaway for intimate and intentional weddings.
Capturing those heartfelt moments
Throughout John & Brittany's day, there were multiple special moments that stood out to me. Brittany's relationship with her parents is very close so when Brittany's mother helped put on Brittany's shoes, we all knew that may be the last time that ever happens. Also, when Brittany's father saw her in her wedding gown for the first time, he kissed her and cried and held her in such a way that everyone in the room couldn't hold the tears back.
Bridal advice is always nice
From the bride: If I had any advice for future brides and grooms, it would be to, "Let go and let be" throughout your planning process. I've had girlfriends get so stressed and caught up in the details leading up to the wedding, that they missed out on the enjoyment of being engaged. It may sound cliche, but it's truly a once-in-a-lifetime,, irreplaceable, memorable & happy time in your life. I can honestly look back and say that forgoing smaller, handmade details here and there (that - at the time - may seem like they mean a world of difference) were WELL worth the compromise of excluding. Don't rush it and be sure to enjoy it; take the time to enjoy the planning, enjoy your fiance and the general process of becoming a team and uniting as husband and wife.
Budget Breakdown
Although we did overspend a decent amount, we attribute this to our choice to go with a live music band, versus a DJ in our original budget. Had we stayed with a DJ, we would have nearly hit our originally intended budget.
Planned Budget: $20,000
Actual Budget: $30,000
Number of Guests: 174
