Elegant Black Tie New Orleans Wedding at a Cathedral
Planning a destination wedding in New Orleans can be a big undertaking, but Nick and Tiffany’s big day turned out absolutely perfect! Black ties, blue bridesmaid dresses and an amazing cathedral ceremony, what’s not to love?
Arte de Vie beautifully captured this entire day, so be sure to see every last image in the full gallery for more from this black tie New Orleans wedding.
heartwarming day
From Arte de Vie: For so many reasons this wedding warms my heart and my soul. Tiffany and Nick, and their families, welcomed us with open arms. It always amazes me that when we feel like we are family and friends with our clients, we pull off some of our best work (I also have to mention that all of the photos in this blog post were shot on film cameras). Everyone was happy all day – it’s as though a smile was part of the wardrobe, just as a black tie would be requested. I wish I could bottle up the energy when there is no stress and everyone is truly living in the moment. It’s a beautiful thing!
Unforgettable day
From the bride: Nick and I got engaged in July. We set a wedding date in New Orleans for April. Nine months to plan a wedding in a city where locals and tourists decide to celebrate their special day. Going into it, I thought it would be impossible and extremely stressful. However, to my surprise, it was not only doable, but nearly perfect. Nick and I would not have changed a thing. We were so fortunate to have incredible support from our family and friends. It truly was an unforgettable day!
Choose what's important
Besides your vows, the bride & groom should decide what is most important to them. For us, we wanted food, music, & photos were our focus. It is where we spent the most and did plenty of research to find what fit our budget and preferences the best.
Take it all in
During your first dance, take it all in! It may be the only time you and your groom are truly alone for your wedding reception. An uninterrupted 3 minutes or so. Let that moment be the time that you let it sink in. Feel all the feels! Look around the room at your guests, decor, etc. It is the only time you will have a moment to take a quick 360 look at everything around you.
