The Historic Venue

The Silver Fox, Streator, IL was built in 1906. A LaSalle County hidden gem, it was originally the home of the Streator Freemasonry for over 100 years. Lovingly reawakened into a Venue for celebrations, this former Masonic Temple has been restored and tailored to intimate Weddings. The 2nd-floor meeting room is now a space for vows, an altar already waiting for the promise. Downstairs, a lounge for a separate cocktail hour awaits guests, while dinner and dancing take place in the adjacent ballroom. Freemasonry is one of the oldest secret societies in the world, hosting Presidents, business moguls, and world leaders. These secrets can be felt in this historic space. All of the contributors to this inspiration shoot, local to the area, were inspired by the depth of history, the mystery in the walls, and seemingly endless spaces of the Silver Fox.

The Bride

We begin with our stunning Bride, Cierra, dressed by Marien Mae Bridal Boutique in a Wilderly ivory charmeuse gown, tulle, and lace, with a nude mesh on the plunging bodice. Channeling old Hollywood, the Bride paired a bold, burgundy lip with a natural eye. Incorporating Eastern style hairdressing techniques our Bridal Brigade hair and makeup team, brought in techniques that are becoming popular in the States. The texture of the hair is defined and deliberate. The shape of the style mimicking the shape of the dress.

The MOH

Our lovely Maid Of Honor, Samantha, wore a delicate gauzy Watters dress, light in color to contrast with the moody, dark colors of the florals and jacket. Her look was given a touch of glam, a rose sparkle on the lid and winged liner. A voluminous smooth chignon was best to capture the elegance of the dress, incorporating a vintage “s” wave for a classic, timeless feel. Both looks were accented by Elizabeth Bower, Bel Aire Bride, and Lovebird Jewelry.

The Groom

And on to him. A burgundy velvet ASOS jacket, handsomely sported by our Groom, Brennan, was one of our initial inspiration pieces. Styling for our Man of the Moment was completed with pomade to enhance his natural side part, give shine and definition. To complete the look, gold collar tips and tie bar to rival the glam of the girls.

The Floral Decor

The hand-tied crescent bouquet was a showstopper, flowing ribbons and all - an easy visual reminder of their tie together married 4 years and counting. Dark purple callalillies, burgundy scabiosa, and red heart roses brought the moodiness into our Bride’s look. For movement, our floral designer, Flowers Plus, gave us hanging ameranthus, as they are always a stunner. A circle arch encased the space for their vows. And what's not to love about a Wedding Puppy? Melone, the red nose pitbull is welcome at the Silver Fox, a dog-friendly venue. Kisses and flowers all around.

The Table

As the party begins, guests are greeted by the height of the floral display, lending to a garland trailing down the table. The dinner courses, listed beautifully by Happily Ever After Invitations, are served on vintage black & white gold-rimmed china. The brass fighting-lion candelabras act as a centerpiece on the table. Originally a part of the Peoria Historical Society collection, these lions are now enjoyed regularly as part of Happy Hiccups array of pieces. A three-tier geode cake, designed by Kelseys Kakes, awaits the Bride & Groom.

The Grounds

At the Weber House and Garden our photographer, Capture the Canvas, caught the last kiss of Fall color, just after a first November frost, but before the coming snow. This English-style garden, twists and turns, leading you to hidden statuaries, fountains. The walls of sweet autumn clematis separate garden rooms to slip away... steal a kiss…
