5 Times Chalet View Lodge Totally Delivered On Its Name

As far as wedding celebration site scouting goes, you don’t always get a whole lot of intel just via the venue’s name. Places with vineyard, estate, barn, farm, gardens, etc. in their titles certainly conjure a certain kind of stylistic vibe, but when ‘View’ is used, you pretty much get a guarantee that your nuptials will come with ALL the views. We’ve been crushing on this unspoiled paradise in California’s Lost Sierra (a mere four-hour drive from San Francisco) for years, and if picturesque views, panoramic portraits, and the friendly and welcoming embrace of nature headline your list of qualifiers for wedding locales, then you’ll have to check out Chalet View Lodge.

A venue that just doesn’t quit

The sprawling 10+ acre completely private resort in Graeagle, California, was dreamt up to service the most amazing destination weddings. And one of their trademarks, that “Chalet View Lodge is more than a venue — it’s an entire wedding experience,” is entirely truthful, because couples can invite their favorite people in the world to their wedding and know that everyone will be getting something out of it. Not just the insanely-delicious and intoxicating epicurean takeaways, either.

Apart from exclusive use of the entire event property, you’ll get creative direction and design help from one of Chalet View Lodge’s world-class wedding planners, access to the venue’s hand-curated decor collections (from lighting and linens to serveware and signage, just for starters), and introductions to some of the most incredible caterers and wedding event professionals on the West Coast.

But about those views…

We got an insider look at one of the resort’s most spectacular summer soirees, Katherine and Thomas’s 4th of July wedding weekend, and the shots are truly stunning.

The vision

Setting on a style of timeless elegance, romance, and a touch of masculinity, the design team at Chalet View Lodge worked to achieve the design by incorporating pops of gold, shades of blue, wood, crystal, and, of course, lush florals with tons of depth and texture. To add a bit of a modern edge the design team made the signage pop on clear acrylic pieces.

The vantage points

Obviously, the vows of this gorgeous couple were the focal point of this fairest-of-fair weather fete, but here are a few others that likewise took our breath away.

Terrace suites that not only work for wedding party and guest accommodations, but also for phenomenal wedding morning backdrops. Can’t you just imagine lusting over your lakeside kingdom with a cup of coffee in hand?

A ceremony site that you can look at and immediately feel drawn into. The blue, gray, and white swirled skies, the rows of cross-back wooden chairs prefaced by logs and lanterns (the perfect blend of rustic and refined modernity), and a wooden frame bedecked with beautiful blooms.
