It’s been a seriously long time since I last had my hair cut. I’m color crazy, and have had dye jobs all over the map, but when it comes to snips and shaping, I’m pretty low maintenance and lame, gotta say. I also alwayyyyys think I’m going to love long bangs, but then once I get ‘em I’m devastated. I want to be Lea Michele, but I just can’t pull it off. And also, they annoy me to no end. I end up pulling them back on the reg, and there’s really no point in having them at all. #fail.
Remember these bangs? We were obsessed.
But I’m feeling pretty inspired by some of the lewks I’ve seen on my favorite A-list females lately. Especially after listening to Kelly Ripa talking to Lisa Rinna on LIVE this morning about how she can pull off a short style like none other, I might be brave enough to go short (for the first time since college). We’ll see how that goes…
And what we envy evvvvvveeeennn more than the chic coiffs themselves, are the relationships these ladies have with their hair stylists. Kristin Ess is always fangirling over her celebrity clients’ cuts, and she loves experimenting with their looks, but can recognize just how fabulous and signature a certain hairstyle works for them. Just ask Adir Abergel… his most recent triumph in Jessica Biel’s rock ‘n roll shag was no mistake. He was insanely invested in making sure the cut was perfectly curated to fit Jessica’s vibes and color transformation.
If you’ll be visiting your salon any time soon, do some homework on these hella fine haircuts. From Parisian bobs to lots of 70’s-style feathered tresses and stick-straight, silky strands, these styles are so much better than the lobs we loved last year. Trending in the right direction 👍
Valentine’s Day is coming up… maybe you want to surprise your guy or girl with an intoxicating trim? If you’re preparing for a proposal, get your cut, make that appointment for a naughty or nice mani, and act surprised. Bae will appreciate it.
