Inspired by the iconic scene in the sequel (you know the one), this bride/wedding planner decided to take the opportunity to go all out for her bridal shower...because, if you can, why not?! With the help of her husband and partner from her event planning company, Creativa + Co, Natasha nailed every detail, from the luggage tag escort cards and dreamy decor to the DJ'd pajama dance party. POV: the wedding planner is getting married

Natasha and Adel have been high school sweethearts since 2010. They have three adorable pups, love to travel, enjoy spa days, and run their own business, Creativa + Co Events! Natasha left her teaching job to turn her hobby into a full-time passion, not knowing the adventure ahead. After many trials and errors, Adel quit his construction job to join her, bringing his creative touch to the team. He proposed just before Christmas in 2022, and now they’re excited to make it official! The shower was extra special because, for the first time, Natasha was on the receiving end of the party planning.

a royal inspiration

Inspired by The Princess Diaries, she dreamed of a fancy pajama party, dancing with her favorite girls, and having a blast!  The "Petals and Pajamas" themed bridal shower was held at none other than Casa Valencia, nestled in the heart of Coral Gables. This sophisticated, newly-established venue offers a blank canvas that transforms each event into a unique masterpiece. Guests were warmly welcomed to the shower with a charming bellhop cart adorned with floral arrangements and candles, setting the tone for their stay at "Cloud Castillo".

it's all about the experience

Upon "checking in," guests received customized luggage tags indicating their seating arrangement and enjoyed the opportunity to have a portrait drawn of them in their stylish pajamas. They also received personalized poems crafted to their names, snapped photos at the mobile portrait studio, and mingled until the doors to the lush, garden-like event area opened, unleashing a wave of creativity and delightful ambiance.

the decor

The shower’s decor featured vibrant florals, exquisite pearled wax candles, and ethereal furniture and tableware, creating a dreamy ambiance. A Lavish Event Design took the concept to new heights, adorning the venue with a lush array of greenery, hydrangeas, ranunculus, roses, and other exquisite blooms, transforming the space into an enchanting garden.

re-inventing the tablescape

Instead of opting for a traditional tablescape, Natasha chose a more innovative approach by arranging her guests at serpentine tables made from round tables rather than rectangular ones. Her florist adorned the tables with cascading arrangements and an array of pastel candlesticks and bud vases, creating a setting where guests could interact seamlessly. Every detail was meticulously curated, from the elegant plates to the unique, slender gold utensils. Blush crystal goblets and champagne dupioni napkins further enhanced the luxurious theme and color palette, ensuring opulence was evident in every place setting.

the games

Natasha added her own flair to traditional bridal shower games and activities, creating an unforgettable experience. The festivities included the classic toilet paper dress game, pass the prize, "Who Has El Novio?" scratch-offs, and musical chairs with Natasha's favorite tunes. Her fiancé surprised everyone for a personalized round of "He Said, She Said," using posters of their faces instead of shoes for the answers. This mix of games provided entertainment for all guests, making the pajama party a delightful and memorable event.

every last bite

Known for her vibrant personality, Natasha wanted her culinary experience to reflect her vivacity, showcasing rich flavors through every dish and beverage. The bridal shower commenced with a cocktail hour featuring signature drinks such as "On Cloud Castillo," incorporating her new last name into a prosecco and cotton candy concoction. Other highlights included "Spicy Dreams," a spicy margarita—Natasha's favorite—and "Loca Con Su Mojito," a traditional mojito from her "Venus" bar, named after her beloved furry friend. During cocktail hour, a selection of Natasha's favorite hors d'oeuvres were passed around. Guests were then treated to a pasta station, perfectly aligning with the event's Princess Diaries/pajama party theme. The evening culminated in a delightful dessert lounge curated by her dear friend Flour and Fleur, featuring guava chunk cake, cookies and cream shooters, lavender mousse, chocolate chip cookies, tres leches, and guava cookies, all of Natasha's favorite desserts for her guests to savor. As a charming touch, guests received customized McDonald's Happy Meals as favors and late-night bites, perfect for snacking during dancing or on their way home.

hora loca

Natasha ended her night with an electrifying "hora loca" to amp up the party, featuring a special guest appearance by "Bad Bunny" from DJ Sound Productions, her favorite artist. As the night came to a close with laughter echoing through Casa Valencia, Natasha and Adel's journey from high school sweethearts to business partners and soon-to-be newlyweds was celebrated in a dazzling, unforgettable soirée that encapsulated their love for creativity, joy, and each other.
