Favors: Little man + Crown
Today we will go over a few tips to keep in mind while planning a fab bach party in Palm Springs! We stayed at The Saguaro this trip, and decked out the room for the Bride-to-be. We ate & drank by the pool, dined like Queens, and danced like Whitney (R.I.P.). Keep reading to make your Bride feel super special on the ultimate girls' trip.
Try to arrive before the Bride we recommend decorating her room! In this case we had to rent a few different rooms, but made sure to give the Bride a special surprise with all things pink, sparkly, and phallic. We even included a cute little balloon resembling her dog, Boo. DIY if you can! Our photo backdrop we made ourselves, along with all the banners. Quick tip* Michaels literally has everything you need to get your craft on, and the longer the balloon the harder to blow up! No pun intended.
Hosting the bach party? Get the party started by Champagne and treats available. We were able to pre-game a little before dinner and have a toast to the Bride! Try calling a week before your reservation to see if you can have all the rooms fairly close together.
If you are looking for someone to cater some sweet treats we found the most delectable cupcakes! Over The Rainbow Desserts was voted Best Bakery in Palm Springs so naturally we had to have a taste. We called the day before and they had them ready for pick up as soon as we got there. Super easy. You can drool over their menu options here. The wonderful gold Penis cupcake toppers with feathers + penis/diamond confetti we got from Earle's Folley on Etsy. She was super sweet and rushed our items as we needed them fairly quick!
The backdrop was a hit! Look how beautiful it looks against The Saguaro's pink walls. How to Make A Ribbon Backdrop here to create something similar. With all of our silly and slutty favors we got some pretty good pics, but we will keep those to ourselves. Give yourself time to lounge by the pool. The desert is hot, hot, hot! Be sure to hydrate and keep yourselves full for a long night of drinks and dancing. But also be sure to try the Strawberry Banana Piña Colada frozen drink. The drink is so tasty you can't even tell there's tequila AND rum in it. Dangerous.
You don't have to stay in one place. As much as we love The Saguaro and the food, we had dinner arrangements elsewhere. A quick 15 minute Uber ride and we were in a new type of paradise! The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort. Enchanted by the swans and gondolas as you walk in we were surely anticipating dinner. We had a private room at Rockwood Grill, and easy access to the buffet. The buffet is unlike anything most of us had experienced. We were spoiled with Alaskan King Crab Legs, Shrimp, a pasta bar, salads, prime rib, baked potatoes. You name it, they had it.
This is our beautiful Bride-to-be and her special bach cake! We were lucky enough to have some very special connections with Elias Serrano, the operations manager for Rockwood Grill. We spoiled the Bride with her very own strawberry cake, made by Dominique Valenzuela, Rockwood Grill's executive pastry chef. Don't worry if you can't get a cake ... you are sure to be enamored by all the desserts available. Everything from macaroons, to pies, to brownies decorated with gold flecks!
Go dancing! Depending on the setting you are more drawn to, Palm Springs is so diverse in their night life options. From gritty hole in the wall bars, to Vegas-esque night clubs you are guaranteed to have fun. We hopped around a bit in downtown Palm Springs. We ventured to The Club at the Hardrock Hotel to Hunters Nightclub. We also recommend Zelda's and Bart Lounge.
