Photography by: Rosemarie Lion About the Venue:
I am genuinely delighted to share this gorgeous celebration. First, it gives us such a thrill to be able to have another wedding showcasing the great talent of Rosemarie Lion, and if you have not checked out Barndiva before, it is a must-see if you are considering a wine country wedding. Barndiva is not comparable to any other venue I have found. It is avant-garde; it is comfortable; it has an incredible chef; but most of all, they know how to throw a party!
There is something about this venue that breaks down formality and makes you and your guests feel at ease. The artful decor ranges from a configuration of elk antlers that have been recast as a graceful chandelier, to modern water sculptures that create an amazing and tranquil sense during your ceremony. You will find hand-forged wrought-iron sculptures, and even a bit of neon here and there. Whether you are an artist, musician, or cowboy, you will be wowed by the aesthetic.
I love this venue for many reasons and for a collection of affairs. I love it for a small wedding of under 80 guests. The space is truly unique and it is just a lot of fun. But better yet, I love this venue for an over-the-top food fanatic rehearsal or engagement party. If you have not had the pleasure to eat at Barndiva, do yourself a favor and visit them on your next trip up to Sonoma. You will love the food and it will definitely get your creative "wedding juices" moving.
