Timeless Black and White Wedding at Alderbrook Resort and Spa
In plush custom monogrammed robes, the bride and her bridesmaids lounged in the bridal suite as they got ready for the big day. With help from her chic sequin-clad mom, the bride slipped into a custom long-sleeved gown with a sexy lace back that fit like a glove.
These two were truly the happiest, giggliest, and most emotional couple (and family and friends) that we’ve had in quite some time! You can tell just how much LOVE surrounded them and it was truly moving! They had a chic black-and-white theme with lots of crisp contrast and high fashion. The decor translated as both luxe and clean and was definitely reflective of their super cool personalities. I loved designing this with them.
Following the flicker of candlelight, guests made their way out to the brick courtyard where the most romantic ceremony set up was waiting. Black chairs, white floral arrangements, and candles lined the aisle. The couple exchanged vows framed by a glowing hearth, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Pro Tip: Need to motivate your ring bearer or flower girl? Toys usually work as evidenced in the photo below 😂.
The couple got ready at Henry Howard Hotel before moving over to Il Mercato for their courtyard ceremony and reception. The venue was filled with lush arrangements by Bella Blooms Floral of baby's breath, orchids, and hundreds of candles.

The rain tried to put a damper on things but the umbrellas and ponchos wouldn't let it rain on their parade (literally).
Despite the rain, the couple and their guests took to the streets accompanied by Kinfolk Brass Band for a traditional New Orleans second line.
After the second line and champagne toasts, the bride changed into a custom white satin jumpsuit with feather accents and long white gloves. Sparks flew as the two shared a kiss under an abstract baby's breath arch before making their big exit.
