The most important aspect of the wedding for Crystal and Thomas was to have a small, intimate ceremony focusing on their love, followed by a large, fun-filled family reunion. Despite an initial budget of $80,000, the final expenditure was $150,000, including outfits, flights, hotel rooms, and the welcome ceremony. Their wedding was a legal, non-religious ceremony, although an Indian ceremony was held in a church to honor tradition.
The bride Crystal’s attire was nothing short of spectacular, with three dresses for different parts of the celebration. For the Indian ceremony, she wore a Rue de Seine bohemian strapless fit and flare dress. Her main wedding dress, a beaded strapless A-line by Alena Leena called "Peony", was sophisticated, bohemian, and sexy. For the grand finale, she donned a handmade Lehenga Choli designed by her mother-in-law.
The bride's breathtaking look was perfected with hair and makeup by Salty Beauty Weddings and her dreamy dried bohemian bouquet by Vanessa Jaimes Floral Design.
Thomas looked dashing in a bespoke custom-made green suit.
Although they didn’t initially seek a beach wedding, Tulum’s warm climate and natural jungle vibes won them over. They wanted a January wedding to accommodate family, and Kima Tulum provided the perfect backdrop with its laid-back atmosphere and stunning ocean views.
The bridal party was kept small, with just a Maid of Honor in a custom terracotta/copper silk dress. The magical day was beautifully documented by Abi and Gon, the photographers and founders of Luxart Wedding Studio.

Studio 54 Meets Jumanji In This Eclectic Jungle Wedding!
"Crystal & Thomas' story began at work, where they met and spent three wonderful years together, growing not just as colleagues but as a couple who complemented each other perfectly both professionally and personally. The proposal was a surprise despite having designed the ring together. During a vacation in Tulum, Thomas led Crystal down a picturesque jungle beach path to a secluded chapel overlooking the ocean, adorned with flowers and candles. It was a private, intimate, and perfect setting for the moment."
Kima Tulum was a luxurious space to celebrate the couple's reception in rich tones of terracotta designed by Tailor Made Dreams. The earthy natural palette of the Mexican jungle was reflected in modern boho decor from Canteiro Weddings, Rebel Bloom Rentals, and Oleo Events.
The culinary experience was curated by local Chef Tomás Medina, featuring amazing local cuisine and a small cake with yellow cake layers and Nutella chocolate frosting. The evening was highlighted by a fire performance and the couple’s first dance to “Speechless” by Dan + Shay.
