bride with hollywood style waves

When this Palm Beach couple decided to tie the knot, they took wedding planning and turned it all the way up. They couldn't do it all by themselves, of course, so they hired Creative Touch Party Design, to make their dreams a reality. Starting with their poolside welcome party (complete with synchronized swimmers) to their star-studded wedding reception performances, this wedding is what it would have looked like if Gatsby and Daisy ended up together and got married today. Thankfully Erika Delgado was there to capture every last minute of this epic celebration. And it wouldn't be a Palm Beach wedding without pink so keep scrolling for some lovely blush wedding inspo and to hear all about this incredible wedding weekend from the bride herself.

In 2017 I met Donald in South Florida. He had a thick New York accent and was the quintessential tall, dark, handsome man. Beyond his looks, we shared a love for the ocean as it was our “happy place” that always offered peace, serenity, and for Donald, good fishing. Fast forward to our engagement in July 2022, we both knew we wanted to get married at the place we fell in love, back by the ocean in Florida. After looking at many venues, we decided on the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach as it offered that classic charm mixed with coastal sophistication. Drawing inspiration from the remarkable venue itself, the three-day wedding celebration was centered around romantic blush hues, ocean backdrops, lush florals, and stellar entertainment.

Wedding Chicks was a great source of inspiration throughout my entire planning process! I loved to see the different Real Wedding posts, as well as insights and trends from vendors and experts. Through my research on the website, I was able to find some examples of the color palette that would make sense for the event and time of year. It was hard to decide as the wedding was in Florida but during the Fall, so I wanted to make sure we nodded to the season while also including the tropical florals that Florida has to offer.

a private church ceremony

The weekend's festivities kicked off on Friday with a private family ceremony at St.Ann’s Catholic Church, as it was important for us to be married in a church surrounded by our closest friends and family. With a goal to match the elegance Palm Beach offers, I wore an Alexis off-white dress cut in a floral embroidered fabric and raw edge trim details. Following the ceremony, we left the church as husband and wife in a classic maroon-colored car.

herbal decor for the rehearsal dinner

tropical wedding welcome party

The rest of the Friday events included a rehearsal dinner at The Four Seasons Hotel, followed by a welcome party outside in front of the main pool. The focus of the rehearsal dinner was around a simple garden theme, which featured an intimate tablescape of terracotta pots with fresh herbs, including sage, cabbage, rosemary, among others, that highlighted the single long table filled with natural and rustic elements. The herbs in the tablescape were also incorporated into the dinner menu for the evening, creating an immersive experience for our guests. For a pop of quintessential Palm Beach colors, I wore a pink and green statement gown from Rachel Gilbert, featuring a backless style with embroidered flowers with hand beading placed throughout.

a welcome party with a synchronized surprise

synchronized swimming entertainment

Following the rehearsal dinner, the welcome party replicated a similar color palette with decor and florals by Renny & Reed that were carefully selected to complement the natural beauty of the resort, with soft neutral colors, rattan lanterns, and a lattice statement bar creating an ambiance of understated sophistication. Guests enjoyed tropical-inspired hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails, and sweets by the Four Seasons gelato cart. The night concluded with a surprise performance by the Aqualillies, a glamorous synchronized swimming group. As the performance ended, we received another less fortunate surprise–a classic Florida rain shower. While I was of course panicking, our guests continued to party the night away, and I think actually enjoyed the refreshing Florida spritz!

little silver dress for wedding reception

After searching through more than ten boutiques in New York City, I found “the dress” at Galia Lahav. Wedding Chicks is actually where I discovered Galia Lahav’s creations! The dress had 3D flowers and silver crystal embroidery cascades with a sheer square neckline corset and flowing lace skirt, offering unbridled romance. The name of this collection was “Dancing Queen”, so I felt like it was a perfect fit!

When dreaming of the big day, I knew from the beginning that I wanted the look and feel of our ceremony and reception to be magical and deeply romantic. For the ceremony, classic melodies from a live orchestra filled the beachfront space, florals in tones of green, white, and mauve adorned the altar, and collections of organic and lush mixed green foliage lined the aisle. Following the ceremony, guests were led into the ballroom through a pathway of mixed-height gold lanterns and stair railings accented with greenery.

Following the cocktail hour, in the main reception area, centerpieces showcased beautiful overhead arrangements highlighting arrangments of garden roses and ranunculus, among other blush tones, with bronze vases and tiered candle lights surrounding the base. The head table, where the bride and groom were seated in the center, was adorned with asymmetrical designs of loose organic blooms in a pastel color palette. Over an ivory metallic linen, gold rim glassware with lucite and gold flatware illuminated the room that was filled with candlelight.

let's get this party started

bride in silver disco mini dress

After changing into my second dress of the evening, which was a super glam silver mini dress by Lee Petra Grebenau, we were ready for the after-party that featured a surprise guest. Since Donald is from New York, we thought it would be fun to bring an artist that was from the area and offered the top nostalgic hits that we listened to growing up. After some digging, we came up with Fat Joe! During the after-party, Fat Joe took the stage as guests danced the night away in their “after party gear”, featuring light-up squid heads, fedora hats, sunglasses, and more.
