Modern Los Angeles Industrial Wedding At The Line Hotel
This Is How You Do A Fall Wedding And Not Get Crazy With All The Orange
Dreamy Summer Editorial At A French Château With A Show-Stopping Orange Sherbert Gown
Zoe and Edwin’s love story began in Los Angeles. They met in the Arts District at Guerilla Tacos for their first date. Little did they know at the time that this location would later provide the backdrop for first-look photos on their wedding day. The couple got engaged during their first international trip together to Buenos Aires. The trip was riddled with rescheduled flights and last-minute change of plans. There was even an unfortunate closure at Edwin’s originally planned proposal location at the Puerto Madero landmark. Edwin’s hired photographer not only captured the moment of surprise but helped orchestrate the proposal. Under the guise of “working on her portfolio,” the photographer convinced Zoe to pose with Edwin near the scenic location. While setting up a shot, she instructed the couple to stand apart. When Zoe turned around, Edwin was down on one knee.
Not only did Zoe and Edwin fall in love with their venue’s blend of organic and industrial aesthetics, but also the essence of being in the heart of downtown LA’s Arts District. Known for its unique design, the Millwick’s open-air atmosphere included garage-style doors, brick detailing, exposed beams, and a surprisingly verdant garden feel.
These have to be some of the most beautiful getting-ready photos we've seen in a while. We love the moody lighting and all the intimate feels.
Zoe wore a stunning A-line lace and tulle ballgown for the big day. The floral motif of the lace flowed beautifully with the wedding design and we absolutely love this illusion neckline on her–perfection!
The ceremony courtyard included a backdrop of lush bamboo and birds of paradise as the sun poured in from above. Two pillars, by The Scarlet Flower, marked the altar in bursts of wild orange florals and branching leaf counterpoints.
Their reception beautifully balanced earthy elements. Raw wooden tables were set with subdued bud vases, softened by linen runners and napkins. Flowers spanned every shade of orange for a subtle fall color palette of green and terracotta. The couple enjoyed dining at their sweetheart table, which flourished amidst an array of overgrown florals with leafy branches. As a surprise for their guests, Zoe and Edwin arranged a flash mob performance of Rasputin.
The couple cut a charming mint-colored cake with orchid accents.
