A modern California coastal barn wedding at Swallow Creek Ranch
Lisa and Daniel have been doing life as a couple for ten years, and as you can imagine, building a life with someone for that long brings with it a load of emotions when you hit as big a milestone as the wedding day! These two never once allowed a moment to be mundane. Their coastal barn wedding took place at the rustic and chic Swallow Creek Ranch, which offered a gorgeous blue barn and a hilltop ceremony location that featured panoramic views of the iconic Central Coast rolling hills and the Pacific Ocean below. Lisa and Daniel's wedding was during that beautiful transition between summer and fall, so with the help of Over the Moon they incorporated both summer and fall wedding trends into their event design that were captured on camera by Poppy and Vine.
Classic wedding style
Lisa and Daniel got ready with their closest friends and family. Daniel wore a classic black suit with a black tie, while Lisa wore a fitted, off-the-shoulder gown with a sweetheart neckline and delicate button detailing down the back. Makeup by Anna Grimes and Nichole Potter Hairstyling created the perfect, breezy natural glam to complete Lisa's look.
A golden hour sunset bouquet
Azaleas, roses, and Queen Anne's lace were the highlights of Lisa's bouquet by Farmermaid Flowers, which stayed in that golden hour sunset range with shades of oranges, peaches, yellows, and pinks. Eucalyptus provided a textured green backdrop for the florals.

Writing the perfect wedding vows
Lisa’s vows were beyond perfection with her most memorable line being: “When I first met you, Daniel, I couldn’t help but think that the girl who was going to marry you would be the luckiest girl in the whole world. Never did I imagine that girl would be me.” You can bet there wasn't a dry eye in the house after that!
Creating a warm reception glow
Though it ended up being a cold and windy day, bright, colorful florals filled the barn and created that warm golden hour glow. Wicker baskets of green plants and ferns complemented the orange-hued centerpieces and warm barnwood of the venue. Chef's Table and Copper and Crystal carried that warm glow all the way through the catering and stunning floral-accented cake.
