Once in a while, a couple comes along that makes all of their vendors' dreams come true–and this was that couple! When they first met with 828 Planning & Events they only had one wish–give them and their guests something unexpected...something different...something new–and babe, they RAN with it! We're talking giant floral installations, a vintage taxi INDOORS, neon lights, and bathtubs, the works. This has to be one of the coolest most non-traditional weddings we've seen to date and we can't wait to see how many couples take some inspo from this out-of-the-norm celebration of love. Keep scrolling to read more about this non-traditional wedding and see more of these photos by Paige Mckenzi, that are totally a vibe.

One thing was clear from the start, this wedding was a PARTY. The bride sported a chic jumpsuit for the ceremony while her bridesmaids repped every color of the rainbow and played with fun textures like feathers, sequins, and pleather. The groom looked equally cool in his black suit with a crisp white shirt slightly unbuttoned and laid-back loafers.

Bride Casey came to her planner Erin asking for anything "cool and unexpected" for the wedding day. She knew she envisioned a fun and casual wedding with no formal seating and loved the idea of a cocktail-style dinner service. So SKYLIGHT and this talented vendor team did just that and created a mostly standing ceremony with little overhead lighting, but rather lit by candles and neon lights.
The florist, Wandering Poppy Co., designed artful and maximalist installations that filled the all-white venue with light and life.
Abstract neon tubing in shades of purple, pink, and orange reflected off of mirrored disco balls and tinsel making the whole space dance–even before the music started. Black metal chairs and dark wood tables blended into the industrial space making the black and white checkered dancefloor pop that much more.
Some favorite details of the night were the espresso martini shots guests enjoyed with the couple at their sweetheart lounge, the grazing table, and of course, the retro taxi that was parked inside the venue for photo ops. To top it all off, Casey & Dan offered "Peaches n Creme" for dessert, an ode to their love story, because on their very first date, they both happened to have a peach with them in their bags as a snack for later! It turned out, they got to have all of their peaches together from then on.
