Andrew and Morgan met back in 2017 in Wichita, Kansas. When Andrew went back home to Toronto, Ontario, the couple's seven years of long distance began! One day, when Morgan came to visit, Andrew suggested they take his dog on a walk to their favorite sitting spot. At that spot, Andrew asked for a beer from the cooler, and that’s when Morgan saw the box wrapped in a ribbon. Upon their return to the house, they had a surprise celebration with family and friends before beginning to plan their gorgeous wedding day at Auberge du Soleil, captured by the fabulous Yuliya Jul Photography.
The couple wanted a fall wedding to accent the beautiful golden glow of the Napa Valley vineyards. Morgan and Andrew envisioned a romantic yet elegant feel for their big day, and ultimately chose Auberge du Soleil for its natural beauty and picturesque sunsets. The design, decor, and florals chosen by the bride and Vignette Florals all reflected the natural fall colors found in the Napa Valley. Gold accents were added into every part of the design to capture the magic of golden sunsets above the endless vineyards.
Morgan wanted a classic, ballgown dress fit for a princess, and she found a private label wedding dress at the Dress Gallery store in Kansas. The gold accent bridesmaid dresses from Bella Bridesmaids were chosen to accent the autumn feel of the wedding, and their chic light golden tone gently offset the romantic feel of the lace and tulle of Morgan's dress. Andrew's suit set the tone for the black-tie evening gathering. His bowtie was the same one that his father wore to his own wedding, and the unique gold filigree design complemented the fall theme.
Bride Morgan loved softer blush and neutral peachy tones but wanted the overall colors to be true to her autumnal wedding date in wine country. Svenja of Vignette Florals brought her vision to life by incorporating the darker mauve and aubergine hues in addition to the softer colors in all of her wedding florals. The golden yellow leaves were a nod to the gold accents of her bridesmaids' dresses and the lovely ochre tones of the venue's Mediterranean flair. Cascading floral accents were added to the railing where the ceremony was held to accentuate the changing colors of the vineyards right below it, and the reception room was filled with fall-themed centerpieces to create the feeling of fall in the Auberge ballroom.
The French-inspired cuisine of Auberge du Soleil's restaurant was something the couple wanted all of their guests to enjoy. The chef of the renowned wine country restaurant sourced seasonal ingredients to create one-of-a-kind meals, as well as the best wines from Napa. Fine dining combined with Napa's finest wine choices was an immediate sell for the couple planning their destination wedding from Kansas and Canada respectively and made for an unforgettable evening!
