Corn dogs took on a special meaning at this otherwise classic wedding

Anna Claire and Taylor's wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love and unique love story. The couple first met through mutual friends at a game night, but it wasn't until a future weekend outing to a Razorback baseball game that they hit it off. Anna Claire knew that Taylor liked her when he bought her a corndog, and they even joke to this day that they wouldn't be together if it weren't for that fateful corndog! Keep scrolling to see more of their timeless modern wedding day at the Junior League of Little Rock where they - of course - included mini corn dogs as a late-night snack!

Spark joy with a morning-of bridal brunch

The wedding day itself - photographed by Lela and Lyla - was filled with so much joy and so many special moments. The couple started the day by getting ready at the Capital Hotel. For Anna Claire, the morning of the wedding began with a sweet bridal luncheon where she could cherish moments with the women she holds dear. She also had special first looks with both her bridesmaids and her father, who gave her a bracelet as a reminder of their special bond.

A first look location different than the venue

The couple's first look took place outside of the Old State House Museum. There was a light rain on their wedding day, but it added an extra touch of luck and symbolism for the couple. After the ceremony at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, the newlyweds and their wedding party headed to the reception at the Junior League of Little Rock where they enjoyed eating hors d'oeuvres before their entrance and the start of the celebrations.

Using emerald green for a pop of winter color

The color palette of black, ivory, and emerald created a timeless winter ambiance, complementing the couple's classic wedding theme. The floral arrangements by Dale Aldridge and his team from Silks a Bloom were filled with lush hydrangeas, garden roses, stock, larkspur, ranunculus, and calla lilies. The tables were adorned with variations of these floral arrangements and accompanied by crystal candle holders that added a romantic glow to the reception venue.

A classic menu is a crowd-pleaser

Food played a significant role in Anna Claire and Taylor's wedding. The Vibrant Occasions Catering team did an excellent job serving almost 200 guests with warm and delicious dishes. Guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a plated dinner menu that included items such as Mediterranean chicken, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, and green bean Provencal. A highlight of the evening was the late-night snack of mini corn dogs, bringing their love story full circle! Their wedding cake by Mickey's Cakes and Sweets - a classic white cake with buttercream frosting - included a sentimental touch, as the cake topper had been used in the weddings of Anna Claire's maternal grandparents, parents, and sister. This symbolized the enduring love and long-lasting marriages in their family.

What stood out most to the bride

“Everything with the wedding went smoothly thanks to the efforts of my planner, Anne-Claire Allen Planning & Design, my mom, and my bridesmaids. However, I did have to get my wedding rings cut off my finger at the resort on our honeymoon! My fingers swelled from the food we ate there, a lack of sleep, and all of the hot weather. Thankfully, my jeweler at Sissy's Log Cabin was able to repair the rings, and you would never be able to tell by looking at them.” It wouldn't be a true wedding event without at least one funny memory!
