The Elopement Details

Capitol Reef is a desert location in south-central Utah, and this is a park to remember! Sandstone domes, arches, and mind-blowing views abound at Capitol Reef National Park - which makes for the perfect elopement location.

Cece & Derick started the day getting ready together before beginning our adventures through Capitol Reef! Our first stop was deep in canyon with huge walls of rock surrounding us for their ceremony. They shared their vows and celebrated with a picnic. For their picnic, Cece & Derick got to enjoy pie from the Gifford House - they make their pies fresh every day in the park and there’s usually a line to get them because of how delicious they are!

At sunset, we hiked a short distance to one of the best overlooks in the park and were met with one of the most beautiful desert sunsets. Cece’s dress was designed by Leanne Marshall and it was the perfect fit for a western elopement in the desert! The rust detail along the bodice paired with Cece’s cowboy boots brought so much personality and fun to this shoot. Along with this, the turquoise jewelry designed by Pestana Jewelry was another amazing choice to tie everything together. All the desert elements paired with the tulips in the bouquet from Farm Yard Moab combined to make the most fun & chic western elopement style.
