Miranda and Tiffany of MT Weddings and Events styled shoot was such a dream. So many talented vendors stood behind us and believed in our vision, and it all came together right in front of our eyes. The idea for this unique shoot came from a love of outdoor fun and relaxation. We wanted to celebrate the special time when the weather breaks and we break out flip flops & swimsuits and stargaze around the campsite, bellies full of s’mores. Being able to enjoy both beach and camping adventures is rare because they are not often in close proximity. However in the heart of Hampton Roads, Virginia lies a special place that features both; similar to the way a marriage unites two very different people. First Landing State Park is located in Virginia Beach and is the perfect backdrop to combine rustic and elegant components for a glamping wedding that will wow any adventure loving couple. Andrew and Tianna Photography artfully captured the mood of the event with digital and film photography. We began our evening with an intimate ceremony in the woods followed by a glamorous reception on the beach. Our bride had an ethereal glow in her House of Maya dress Allure Dress and hair by Kelsey and makeup by Dhalia Edwards. The soft curls, lace and intricate beading on her gown created a strong contrast to the rough underbrush in the woods and the grooms casual suspenders and khaki's. Pearl jewelry, provided by ImajjE Jewelry Designs, adorned the bride in a simple and classic fashion and tied in to the pearl buttons on her dress. The stunning bouquet and rugged boutonnière, carefully crafted by Ava Loren Designs appears to have been gracefully collected during a hike. Kamesha expertly combined a wide variety of plants in a harmonious blend of color, texture and large blooms. The couple’s stationery was both playful and sophisticated with watercolor painted illustrations and copper foil accents. Amber Dominique Designs used canvas and kraft papers to highlight the rich colors, vintage line art and detailed map. Water's Edge Design Directional signed pointed guest to Dinner which was staged on the sand while watching the sun set on the Chesapeake Bay. The wood farmhouse table and wood slice chargers provided a rustic backdrop to a collection of glammed up, traditional copper camping elements, including flatware and mugs. The copper coordinated with the copper foil place cards and menu accents. The sweetheart table was adorned with a lush garland swag that was sprinkled with neutral colored blooms that stood out against the greenery. The bride traded her bouquet for a floral headpiece and corsage for the reception so she could remain free to celebrate and dance on the sand. After dinner concluded a naked wedding cake crafted by Kadi Bakes and a smore's bar would be served to guests awaiting an after dinner treat. Mad Hatter Vintage Rentals skillfully gathered a collection of lanterns, thermos and accessories that are reminiscent of vintage camping that created two irresistible areas to gather. Family & friends could cuddle around the fireside in the woods and snuggle in an enchanting teepee watching the sun set on the water. All of the details and the state park evoke the sentiment of adventure and togetherness and provide the perfect wedding setting for any outdoor loving couple who wants to celebrate with their closest loved ones.
