It’s a tricky thing to book an urban garden setting for your wedding without having a florist on board for the big day. But this Boston-based bride and groom did just that for their destination wedding in North Carolina, and it turned out better than anyone could have ever imagined - thanks to Fifty Flowers.

Caitlin wanted blooms “this gorgeous” (what do we mean by ‘this gorgeous?’ well, take a peek👇), but a florist just wasn’t in the budget for her I Dos at The Atrium in Wilmington. Despite some stares and shade from people who couldn’t believe she’d elect to DIY such an important element of the day, she took a leap of faith with her flowers and it paid off big time - in more ways than one!!

Phenomenal flowers plus the best bonding experience

“It turned out that making the bouquets with two of my bridesmaids, my mom, and aunt was one of my favorite experiences and most beautiful parts of our entire wedding! My husband and one of our groomsmen made the boutonnieres together over a couple of beers and also had a blast. None of us had any prior florist experience, I just threw a few Pinterest photos in a word doc and we went for it!”

Trust the process

“We followed the directions and put them in water and they were all perfectly in bloom for the Friday event. My wedding was actually 4 hours away from where we got the flowers delivered, and in May in NC I was worried about the heat, but everything turned out great. I had not originally planned on having centerpieces/flower arrangements on the bar, guestbook table, in front of the venue, or on the long dinner tables, but we had so many flowers left over that we made quite a few.”

To reiterate just how legit Fifty Flowers is…

This couple got married in an atrium; the place is known for being Wilmington’s “secret garden.” And they DIY-ed florals that fit right in… 🤯
