Claire Pettibone and Bella Belle Shoes Are Solemates
Okay, we’re one day past Tuesday Shoesday, but we’re going to side step that for a sec - because Claire Pettibone for Bella Belle Shoes just launched today (and the collection is SO GOOD it hardly needs a hashtag franchise to make it legit). The limited-edition, four-style capsule collection is pretty poetic as it weaves Pettibone’s whimsical aesthetic into Bella Belle’s signature romantic designs. The designs will be available for purchase on each of the brands’ sites, along with Nordstrom, from January 2019.
And brides, these shoes are beyond stunning - like “I have no reason to buy these, I’m not a bride, but they’re so beautiful I have to have them” kind of stunning. We’ve been watching the social media hinting posts across both CP and BB’s Insta feeds, and everyone has been psyched to see who Bella B is stepping out with on this new launch. Lots of you have already guessed, too, that Claire is behind the curated capsule - why? Because there are bridal details that every designer does, making them hardly recognizable or unique anymore, and then there are Claire details like vintage French lace and Guipure appliqués, phenomenally-photogenic pastels, and motifs like whimsical winged butterflies that are entirely inimitable and characteristically hers.

Freya
A little “something blue” for a romantic nod to tradition. The Freya shoes make a delicate, romantic finishing touch with a double ankle strap, and tiny flower buds blooming on the heels. Just a tiny hint of shimmer with silver threads intertwined with ivory and baby blue embroidery and a few dew-drops of clear sequins.
Giselle
A classic bridal pump featuring French embroidery patterns with a gorgeous scalloped edge to embellish the design. The removable silk ribbon bow is a nod to the iconic ballerina. One of Pettibone’s favorite elements as the bride can choose to customize the design with her own ribbon or heirloom piece. ((LOVEEEE THIS!))
Flora
Flora is a quintessential Claire shoe; Pale blush flowers with sage green and rose gold accents embroidered onto blush silk satin. A little vintage, a little whimsy, and all of nature’s beauty wrapped up into an utterly-romantic statement piece.
Mariposa
Iridescent blooming vines are stitched on the mesh upper, and Guipure lace butterflies (a Pettibone signature) have landed to take a sip of nectar. At the back of the shoe, two winged lovers have found each other, so when the heels are together, they make a sweet pair. The butterflies are hand-tinted, so each pair is unique, and this shoe is available by special order as a limited edition.
