Alex + Dylan are one of the sweetest couples ever, and they had a great smoky mountain fall wedding at The Vineyards at Betty's Creek in North Carolina. The rustic venue set the tone for their fall nuptials which features pumpkin centerpieces and warm fall tones.
It’s was the perfect setting for these two love birds, who first met when they were 15 years old! Read more about their love story below and catch a closer look at their wedding from BlueSpark Photography in the full gallery.
We went hiking in Mt. Rainer National Park as we both love to be on the trails, and on the most beautiful day in Washington in a section of the park literally named "Paradise", Dylan popped the question! There we were, on a trail with the glorious peak in our background, crying and hugging that we were about to spend the rest of our lives together forever. And the best part of the proposal was being unplugged from cell service and wifi for a full 24 hours, letting us celebrate this intimate moment in the mountains to ourselves over a campfire.
From a quote from my favorite movie (The Wedding Singer), "It's not how you feel about her, but how he makes you feel about yourself." Dylan is so full of love and affection and just brings out the best in me. I honestly can't imagine my life without him. Dylan may seem like any regular 26 year old guy, but you won't find any other guy who loves to hike, tell dad jokes, play the drums, be a Bear Grylls wannabe, and sing Disney songs with you like him. Dylan is never selfish; and that is probably my favorite quality about him. He always puts the best interests for each other as a pair before thinking of himself. I am forever grateful that I will get to spend the rest of my days alongside him. But to really know him, you just have to meet him for yourself to realize Dylan is truly one of a kind. Plus, he has the best eyes and smile to make your heart melt.
Dylan, how would you describe your bride? Alex is many things to me. A mentor, a role model, a best friend, and above all she is my soon to be wife. I love Alex whole heartedly. Alex has the answers to all my ridiculous questions and has never-ending strand of patience for my nonsense. She has all the wrong things to say at all the right times and that is yet another reason why I'm head over heels for her. She is a constant reminder as to why I need to make it home after my shift. We love getting ourselves in crazy adventures and documenting the consequences. Through Alex there is hope for another exciting, adventure. I am the luckiest man who never takes her for granted. After eleven years of growing up as one, not a day goes by where I don't thank God for putting us together. Alex is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.
