We’re dreaming of sleigh rides and cups of hot cocoa after this snowy wedding at the Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia Canada. Giant fluffy snowflakes blanketed the ground in a fresh layer of snow, creating the perfect backdrop for their dreamy winter wonderland wedding.
The refreshingly sophisticated color palette featured hues of champagne, navy and crisp white throughout the rustic decor, but our favorite is the gorgeous champagne skirts that the bridesmaids wore! There's just so much to love, be sure to check out the entire day captured by Christie Graham Photography in the full gallery here for more heartwarming details.
From Smitten Events: Jenn & Justin had a winter wonderland wedding in mind and chose to marry in winter in Whistler, BC. After a warm start to the year we geared up for a wet wedding rather than the winter scene Jenn had in mind but on the morning of their wedding we awoke to a blanket of fresh, white snow and huge flakes falling, the perfect backdrop for a winter wedding in the mountains! Braving the snowy weather, Jenn & Justin had their first look in the meadow surrounding the Nita Lake Lodge. Their wedding party joined them for a magical, snow-covered portrait session while guests enjoyed hot chocolate before the ceremony.
Their outdoor ceremony took place under the Port Cochere and we loved how they celebrated Jenn's Jewish heritage with the breaking of the glass at the end of their otherwise nondenominational nuptials. Jenn's bridal look was modern, with a body hugging Vera Wang gown and a perfect ponytail. Jenn's bridal party wore matching, champagne skirts with mismatched ivory tops and Uggs for the snow. The groomsmen wore navy and Justin stood out in a three-piece suit in denim blue.
Jenn's vision for a stylish, west coast wedding in navy, champagne and white with warm metallics came together thanks to her keen eye and incredible creativity. Jenn handmade so many of our favorite elements from the day, including the escort cards which had hand-tied, indigo dip-dyed tassels with handmade silk ribbon and hand stamped brass name tags. Justin created place card stands and natural wood chargers that doubled as guest take-aways (food safe cheese boards!) and we loved how they mixed these flawlessly on tables topped with tulle runners, lush garland and hundreds of candles.
From the bride: This probably sounds very cliché but go into your day telling yourself you will not get worked up over the small things. I was given this advice, and went in with a mindset, that if I wanted to stay relaxed and calm, I would in fact be that way. I can honestly say it worked. It led to a casual stress-free morning with my best friends, a calm demeanor leading up to the ceremony, and most importantly it allowed me to truly enjoy being in the moment through our entire wedding.
